Isaiah 60:1-9
1 Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the Lord is
risen upon thee. 2 For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and
gross darkness the people: but the Lord shall arise upon thee, and his
glory shall be seen upon thee. 3 And the Gentiles shall come to thy
light, and kings to the brightness of thy rising. 4 Lift up thine eyes
round about, and see: all they gather themselves together, they come to
thee: thy sons shall come from far, and thy daughters shall be nursed at
thy side. 5 Then thou shalt see, and flow together, and thine heart
shall fear, and be enlarged; because the abundance of the sea shall be
converted unto thee, the forces of the Gentiles shall come unto thee. 6
The multitude of camels shall cover thee, the dromedaries of Midian and
Ephah, all they from Sheba shall come: they shall bring gold and
incense; and they shall shew forth the praises of the Lord. 7 All the
flocks of Kedar shall be gathered together unto thee, the rams of
Nebaioth shall minister unto thee: they shall come up with acceptance on
mine altar, and I will glorify the house of my glory. 8 Who are these
that fly as a cloud, and as the doves to their windows? 9 Surely the
isles shall wait for me, and the ships of Tarshish first, to bring thy
sons from far, their silver and their gold with them, unto the name of
the Lord thy God, and to the Holy One of Israel, because he hath
glorified thee.

Matthew 2:1-12
1 Now when Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judaea in the days of Herod
the king, behold, there came wise men from the east to Jerusalem, 2
Saying, Where is he that is born King of the Jews? for we have seen his
star in the east, and are come to worship him. 3 When Herod the king had
heard these things, he was troubled, and all Jerusalem with him. 4 And
when he had gathered all the chief priests and scribes of the people
together, he demanded of them where Christ should be born. 5 And they
said unto him, In Bethlehem of Judaea: for thus it is written by the
prophet, 6 And thou Bethlehem, in the land of Juda, art not the least
among the princes of Juda: for out of thee shall come a Governor, that
shall rule my people Israel. 7 Then Herod, when he had privily called
the wise men, inquired of them diligently what time the star appeared. 8
And he sent them to Bethlehem, and said, Go and search diligently for
the young child; and when ye have found him, bring me word again, that I
may come and worship him also. 9 When they had heard the king, they
departed; and, lo, the star, which they saw in the east, went before
them, till it came and stood over where the young child was. 10 When
they saw the star, they rejoiced with exceeding great joy. 11 And when
they were come into the house, they saw the young child with Mary his
mother, and fell down, and worshipped him: and when they had opened
their treasures, they presented unto him gifts; gold, and frankincense,
and myrrh. 12 And being warned of God in a dream that they should not
return to Herod, they departed into their own country another
way.

Proverbs 8:22-35
22 The Lord possessed me in the beginning of his way, before his
works of old. 23 I was set up from everlasting, from the beginning, or
ever the earth was. 24 When there were no depths, I was brought forth;
when there were no fountains abounding with water. 25 Before the
mountains were settled, before the hills was I brought forth: 26 While
as yet he had not made the earth, nor the fields, nor the highest part
of the dust of the world. 27 When he prepared the heavens, I was there:
when he set a compass upon the face of the depth: 28 When he established
the clouds above: when he strengthened the fountains of the deep: 29
When he gave to the sea his decree, that the waters should not pass his
commandment: when he appointed the foundations of the earth: 30 Then I
was by him, as one brought up with him: and I was daily his delight,
rejoicing always before him; 31 Rejoicing in the habitable part of his
earth; and my delights were with the sons of men. 32 Now therefore
hearken unto me, O ye children: for blessed are they that keep my ways.
33 Hear instruction, and be wise, and refuse it not. 34 Blessed is the
man that heareth me, watching daily at my gates, waiting at the posts of
my doors. 35 For whoso findeth me findeth life, and shall obtain favour
of the Lord.

Colossians 1:9
9 For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to
pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge
of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding; 10 That ye might
walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good
work, and increasing in the knowledge of God; 11 Strengthened with all
might, according to his glorious power, unto all patience and
longsuffering with joyfulness; 12 Giving thanks unto the Father, which
hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in
light: 13 Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath
translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son: 14 In whom we have
redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins: 15 Who is
the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature: 16 For
by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in
earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or
principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:
17 And he is before all things, and by him all things consist. 18 And he
is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn
from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence. 19 For
it pleased the Father that in him should all fulness dwell; 20 And,
having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile
all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth,
or things in heaven. 21 And you, that were sometime alienated and
enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now hath he reconciled 22 In
the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and unblameable
and unreproveable in his sight: 23 If ye continue in the faith grounded
and settled, and be not moved away from the hope of the gospel, which ye
have heard, and which was preached to every creature which is under
heaven; whereof I Paul am made a minister; 24 Who now rejoice in my
sufferings for you, and fill up that which is behind of the afflictions
of Christ in my flesh for his body's sake, which is the church: 25
Whereof I am made a minister, according to the dispensation of God which
is given to me for you, to fulfil the word of God; 26 Even the mystery
which hath been hid from ages and from generations, but now is made
manifest to his saints: 27 To whom God would make known what is the
riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ
in you, the hope of glory: 28 Whom we preach, warning every man, and
teaching every man in all wisdom; that we may present every man perfect
in Christ Jesus: 29 Whereunto I also labour, striving according to his
working, which worketh in me mightily.

1 Samuel 1:21
21 And the man Elkanah, and all his house, went up to offer unto the
Lord the yearly sacrifice, and his vow. 22 But Hannah went not up; for
she said unto her husband, I will not go up until the child be weaned,
and then I will bring him, that he may appear before the Lord, and there
abide for ever. 23 And Elkanah her husband said unto her, Do what
seemeth thee good; tarry until thou have weaned him; only the Lord
establish his word. So the woman abode, and gave her son suck until she
weaned him. 24 And when she had weaned him, she took him up with her,
with three bullocks, and one ephah of flour, and a bottle of wine, and
brought him unto the house of the Lord in Shiloh: and the child was
young. 25 And they slew a bullock, and brought the child to Eli. 26 And
she said, Oh my lord, as thy soul liveth, my lord, I am the woman that
stood by thee here, praying unto the Lord. 27 For this child I prayed;
and the Lord hath given me my petition which I asked of him: 28
Therefore also I have lent him to the Lord; as long as he liveth he
shall be lent to the Lord. And he worshipped the Lord
there.

Matthew 18:1-14
1 At the same time came the disciples unto Jesus, saying, Who is the
greatest in the kingdom of heaven? 2 And Jesus called a little child
unto him, and set him in the midst of them, 3 And said, Verily I say
unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye
shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven. 4 Whosoever therefore shall
humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom
of heaven. 5 And whoso shall receive one such little child in my name
receiveth me. 6 But whoso shall offend one of these little ones which
believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about
his neck, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea. 7 Woe unto
the world because of offences! for it must needs be that offences come;
but woe to that man by whom the offence cometh! 8 Wherefore if thy hand
or thy foot offend thee, cut them off, and cast them from thee: it is
better for thee to enter into life halt or maimed, rather than having
two hands or two feet to be cast into everlasting fire. 9 And if thine
eye offend thee, pluck it out, and cast it from thee: it is better for
thee to enter into life with one eye, rather than having two eyes to be
cast into hell fire. 10 Take heed that ye despise not one of these
little ones; for I say unto you, That in heaven their angels do always
behold the face of my Father which is in heaven. 11 For the Son of man
is come to save that which was lost. 12 How think ye? if a man have an
hundred sheep, and one of them be gone astray, doth he not leave the
ninety and nine, and goeth into the mountains, and seeketh that which is
gone astray? 13 And if so be that he find it, verily I say unto you, he
rejoiceth more of that sheep, than of the ninety and nine which went not
astray. 14 Even so it is not the will of your Father which is in heaven,
that one of these little ones should perish.

1 Listen, O isles, unto me; and hearken, ye people, from far; The
Lord hath called me from the womb; from the bowels of my mother hath he
made mention of my name. 2 And he hath made my mouth like a sharp sword;
in the shadow of his hand hath he hid me, and made me a polished shaft;
in his quiver hath he hid me; 3 And said unto me, Thou art my servant, O
Israel, in whom I will be glorified. 4 Then I said, I have laboured in
vain, I have spent my strength for nought, and in vain: yet surely my
judgment is with the Lord, and my work with my God. 5 And now, saith the
Lord that formed me from the womb to be his servant, to bring Jacob
again to him, Though Israel be not gathered, yet shall I be glorious in
the eyes of the Lord, and my God shall be my strength. 6 And he said, It
is a light thing that thou shouldest be my servant to raise up the
tribes of Jacob, and to restore the preserved of Israel: I will also
give thee for a light to the Gentiles, that thou mayest be my salvation
unto the end of the earth. 7 Thus saith the Lord, the Redeemer of
Israel, and his Holy One, to him whom man despiseth, to him whom the
nation abhoreth, to a servant of rulers, Kings shall see and arise,
princes also shall worship, because of the Lord that is faithful, and
the Holy One of Israel, and he shall choose thee.

I John 1:1-9
1 That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we
have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have
handled, of the Word of life; 2 (For the life was manifested, and we
have seen it, and bear witness, and shew unto you that eternal life,
which was with the Father, and was manifested unto us;) 3 That which we
have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have
fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and
with his Son Jesus Christ. 4 And these things write we unto you, that
your joy may be full. 5 This then is the message which we have heard of
him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness
at all. 6 If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in
darkness, we lie, and do not the truth: 7 But if we walk in the light,
as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the
blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin. 8 If we say
that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. 9
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins,
and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

7 The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge: but fools
despise wisdom and instruction. 8 My son, hear the instruction of thy
father, and forsake not the law of thy mother: 9 For they shall be an
ornament of grace unto thy head, and chains about thy neck. 10 My son,
if sinners entice thee, consent thou not. 11 If they say, Come with us,
let us lay wait for blood, let us lurk privily for the innocent without
cause: 12 Let us swallow them up alive as the grave; and whole, as those
that go down into the pit: 13 We shall find all precious substance, we
shall fill our houses with spoil: 14 Cast in thy lot among us; let us
all have one purse: 15 My son, walk not thou in the way with them;
refrain thy foot from their path: 16 For their feet run to evil, and
make haste to shed blood. 17 Surely in vain the net is spread in the
sight of any bird. 18 And they lay wait for their own blood; they lurk
privily for their own lives. 19 So are the ways of every one that is
greedy of gain; which taketh away the life of the owners
thereof.

be to the praise of his glory, who first trusted in Christ. 13 In whom
ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of
your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with
that holy Spirit of promise, 14 Which is the earnest of our inheritance
until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his
glory. 15 Wherefore I also, after I heard of your faith in the Lord
Jesus, and love unto all the saints, 16 Cease not to give thanks for
you, making mention of you in my prayers; 17 That the God of our Lord
Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of
wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him: 18 The eyes of your
understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of
his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the
saints, 19 And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward
who believe, according to the working of his mighty power, 20 Which he
wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his
own right hand in the heavenly places, 21 Far above all principality,
and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not
only in this world, but also in that which is to come: 22 And hath put
all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things
to the church, 23 Which is his body, the fulness of him that filleth all
in all.

Ezekiel 1:2-6, 24-28
2 In the fifth day of the month, which was the fifth year of king
Jehoiachin's captivity, 3 The word of the Lord came expressly unto
Ezekiel the priest, the son of Buzi, in the land of the Chaldeans by the
river Chebar; and the hand of the Lord was there upon him. 4 And I
looked, and, behold, a whirlwind came out of the north, a great cloud,
and a fire infolding itself, and a brightness was about it, and out of
the midst thereof as the colour of amber, out of the midst of the fire.
5 Also out of the midst thereof came the likeness of four living
creatures. And this was their appearance; they had the likeness of a
man. 6 And every one had four faces, and every one had four wings.
24 And when they went, I heard the noise of their wings, like the
noise of great waters, as the voice of the Almighty, the voice of
speech, as the noise of an host: when they stood, they let down their
wings. 25 And there was a voice from the firmament that was over their
heads, when they stood, and had let down their wings. 26 And above the
firmament that was over their heads was the likeness of a throne, as the
appearance of a sapphire stone: and upon the likeness of the throne was
the likeness as the appearance of a man above upon it. 27 And I saw as
the colour of amber, as the appearance of fire round about within it,
from the appearance of his loins even upward, and from the appearance of
his loins even downward, I saw as it were the appearance of fire, and it
had brightness round about. 28 As the appearance of the bow that is in
the cloud in the day of rain, so was the appearance of the brightness
round about. This was the appearance of the likeness of the glory of the
Lord. And when I saw it, I fell upon my face, and I heard a voice of one
that spake.

world. 10 He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the

sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: 13 Which were born,
not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but
of God. 14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we
beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full
of grace and truth. 15 John bare witness of him, and cried, saying, This
was he of whom I spake, He that cometh after me is preferred before me:
for he was before me. 16 And of his fulness have all we received, and
grace for grace. 17 For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth
came by Jesus Christ. 18 No man hath seen God at any time; the only
begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared
him.

with thee; 2 So that thou incline thine ear unto wisdom, and apply thine
heart to understanding; 3 Yea, if thou criest after knowledge, and
liftest up thy voice for understanding; 4 If thou seekest her as silver,
and searchest for her as for hid treasures; 5 Then shalt thou understand
the fear of the Lord, and find the knowledge of God. 6 For the Lord
giveth wisdom: out of his mouth cometh knowledge and understanding. 7 He
layeth up sound wisdom for the righteous: he is a buckler to them that
walk uprightly. 8 He keepeth the paths of judgment, and preserveth the
way of his saints. 9 Then shalt thou understand righteousness, and
judgment, and equity; yea, every good path.

1 And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins; 2
Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world,
according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now
worketh in the children of disobedience: 3 Among whom also we all had
our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the
desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of
wrath, even as others. 4 But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great
love wherewith he loved us, 5 Even when we were dead in sins, hath
quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;) 6 And hath
raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in
Christ Jesus: 7 That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding
riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus. 8
For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it
is the gift of God: 9 Not of works, lest any man should boast. 10 For we
are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God
hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

1 And he said unto me, Son of man, stand upon thy feet, and I will
speak unto thee. 2 And the spirit entered into me when he spake unto me,
and set me upon my feet, that I heard him that spake unto me. 3 And he
said unto me, Son of man, I send thee to the children of Israel, to a
rebellious nation that hath rebelled against me: they and their fathers
have transgressed against me, even unto this very day. 4 For they are
impudent children and stiffhearted. I do send thee unto them; and thou
shalt say unto them, Thus saith the Lord God. 5 And they, whether they
will hear, or whether they will forbear, (for they are a rebellious
house,) yet shall know that there hath been a prophet among them. 6 And
thou, son of man, be not afraid of them, neither be afraid of their
words, though briers and thorns be with thee, and thou dost dwell among
scorpions: be not afraid of their words, nor be dismayed at their looks,
though they be a rebellious house. 7 And thou shalt speak my words unto
them, whether they will hear, or whether they will forbear: for they are
most rebellious. 8 But thou, son of man, hear what I say unto thee; Be
not thou rebellious like that rebellious house: open thy mouth, and eat
that I give thee. 9 And when I looked, behold, an hand was sent unto me;
and, lo, a roll of a book was therein; 10 And he spread it before me;
and it was written within and without: and there was written therein
lamentations, and mourning, and woe.

19 And this is the record of John, when the Jews sent priests and
Levites from Jerusalem to ask him, Who art thou? 20 And he confessed,
and denied not; but confessed, I am not the Christ. 21 And they asked

prophet? And he answered, No. 22 Then said they unto him, Who art thou?
that we may give an answer to them that sent us. What sayest thou of
thyself? 23 He said, I am the voice of one crying in the wilderness,
Make straight the way of the Lord, as said the prophet Esaias. 24 And
they which were sent were of the Pharisees. 25 And they asked him, and
said unto him, Why baptizest thou then, if thou be not that Christ, nor
Elias, neither that prophet? 26 John answered them, saying, I baptize
with water: but there standeth one among you, whom ye know not; 27 He it
is, who coming after me is preferred before me, whose shoe's latchet I
am not worthy to unloose. 28 These things were done in Bethabara beyond
Jordan, where John was baptizing. 29 The next day John seeth Jesus
coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away
the sin of the world. 30 This is he of whom I said, After me cometh a
man which is preferred before me: for he was before me. 31 And I knew
him not: but that he should be made manifest to Israel, therefore am I
come baptizing with water. 32 And John bare record, saying, I saw the
Spirit descending from heaven like a dove, and it abode upon him. 33 And
I knew him not: but he that sent me to baptize with water, the same said
unto me, Upon whom thou shalt see the Spirit descending, and remaining
on him, the same is he which baptizeth with the Holy Ghost. 34 And I
saw, and bare record that this is the Son of God.

1 My son, forget not my law; but let thine heart keep my
commandments; 2 For length of days, and long life, and peace, shall they
add to thee. 3 Let not mercy and truth forsake thee: bind them about thy
neck; write them upon the table of thine heart: 4 So shalt thou find
favour and good understanding in the sight of God and man. 5 Trust in
the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own
understanding. 6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct
thy paths. 7 Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the Lord, and depart
from evil.
11 My son, despise not the chastening of the Lord; neither be weary
of his correction: 12 For whom the Lord loveth he correcteth; even as a
father the son in whom he delighteth.

Ephesians 2:11
11 Wherefore remember, that ye being in time past Gentiles in the
flesh, who are called Uncircumcision by that which is called the
Circumcision in the flesh made by hands; 12 That at that time ye were
without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and
strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God
in the world: 13 But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off
are made nigh by the blood of Christ. 14 For he is our peace, who hath
made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between
us; 15 Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of
commandments contained in ordinances; for to make in himself of twain
one new man, so making peace; 16 And that he might reconcile both unto
God in one body by the cross, having slain the enmity thereby: 17 And
came and preached peace to you which were afar off, and to them that
were nigh. 18 For through him we both have access by one Spirit unto the
Father. 19 Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but
fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God; 20 And are
built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ
himself being the chief corner stone; 21 In whom all the building fitly
framed together groweth unto an holy temple in the Lord: 22 In whom ye

4 And he said unto me, Son of man, go, get thee unto the house of
Israel, and speak with my words unto them. 5 For thou art not sent to a
people of a strange speech and of an hard language, but to the house of
Israel; 6 Not to many people of a strange speech and of an hard
language, whose words thou canst not understand. Surely, had I sent thee
to them, they would have hearkened unto thee. 7 But the house of Israel
will not hearken unto thee; for they will not hearken unto me: for all
the house of Israel are impudent and hardhearted. 8 Behold, I have made
thy face strong against their faces, and thy forehead strong against
their foreheads. 9 As an adamant harder than flint have I made thy
forehead: fear them not, neither be dismayed at their looks, though they
be a rebellious house. 10 Moreover he said unto me, Son of man, all my
words that I shall speak unto thee receive in thine heart, and hear with
thine ears. 11 And go, get thee to them of the captivity, unto the
children of thy people, and speak unto them, and tell them, Thus saith
the Lord God; whether they will hear, or whether they will forbear. 12
Then the spirit took me up, and I heard behind me a voice of a great
rushing, saying, Blessed be the glory of the Lord from his place. 13 I
heard also the noise of the wings of the living creatures that touched
one another, and the noise of the wheels over against them, and a noise
of a great rushing. 14 So the spirit lifted me up, and took me away, and
I went in bitterness, in the heat of my spirit; but the hand of the Lord
was strong upon me.

35 Again the next day after John stood, and two of his disciples; 36
And looking upon Jesus as he walked, he saith, Behold the Lamb of God!
37 And the two disciples heard him speak, and they followed Jesus. 38
Then Jesus turned, and saw them following, and saith unto them, What
seek ye? They said unto him, Rabbi, (which is to say, being interpreted,
Master,) where dwellest thou? 39 He saith unto them, Come and see. They
came and saw where he dwelt, and abode with him that day: for it was
about the tenth hour. 40 One of the two which heard John speak, and
followed him, was Andrew, Simon Peter's brother. 41 He first findeth his
own brother Simon, and saith unto him, We have found the Messias, which
is, being interpreted, the Christ. 42 And he brought him to Jesus. And
when Jesus beheld him, he said, Thou art Simon the son of Jona: thou
shalt be called Cephas, which is by interpretation, A stone. 43 The day
following Jesus would go forth into Galilee, and findeth Philip, and
saith unto him, Follow me. 44 Now Philip was of Bethsaida, the city of
Andrew and Peter. 45 Philip findeth Nathanael, and saith unto him, We
have found him, of whom Moses in the law, and the prophets, did write,
Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph. 46 And Nathanael said unto him,
Can there any good thing come out of Nazareth? Philip saith unto him,
Come and see. 47 Jesus saw Nathanael coming to him, and saith of him,
Behold an Israelite indeed, in whom is no guile! 48 Nathanael saith unto
him, Whence knowest thou me? Jesus answered and said unto him, Before
that Philip called thee, when thou wast under the fig tree, I saw thee.
49 Nathanael answered and saith unto him, Rabbi, thou art the Son of
God; thou art the King of Israel. 50 Jesus answered and said unto him,
Because I said unto thee, I saw thee under the fig tree, believest thou?
thou shalt see greater things than these. 51 And he saith unto him,
Verily, verily, I say unto you, Hereafter ye shall see heaven open, and
the angels of God ascending and descending upon the Son of
man.

understanding. 14 For the merchandise of it is better than the
merchandise of silver, and the gain thereof than fine gold. 15 She is

to be compared unto her. 16 Length of days is in her right hand; and in
her left hand riches and honour. 17 Her ways are ways of pleasantness,
and all her paths are peace. 18 She is a tree of life to them that lay
hold upon her: and happy is every one that retaineth her. 19 The Lord by
wisdom hath founded the earth; by understanding hath he established the
heavens. 20 By his knowledge the depths are broken up, and the clouds
drop down the dew.

1 For this cause I Paul, the prisoner of Jesus Christ for you
Gentiles, 2 If ye have heard of the dispensation of the grace of God
which is given me to you-ward: 3 How that by revelation he made known
unto me the mystery; (as I wrote afore in few words, 4 Whereby, when ye
read, ye may understand my knowledge in the mystery of Christ) 5 Which
in other ages was not made known unto the sons of men, as it is now
revealed unto his holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit; 6 That the
Gentiles should be fellow heirs, and of the same body, and partakers of
his promise in Christ by the gospel: 7 Whereof I was made a minister,
according to the gift of the grace of God given unto me by the effectual
working of his power. 8 Unto me, who am less than the least of all
saints, is this grace given, that I should preach among the Gentiles the
unsearchable riches of Christ; 9 And to make all men see what is the
fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the world hath
been hid in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ: 10 To the
intent that now unto the principalities and powers in heavenly places
might be known by the church the manifold wisdom of God, 11 According to
the eternal purpose which he purposed in Christ Jesus our Lord: 12 In
whom we have boldness and access with confidence by the faith of him. 13
Wherefore I desire that ye faint not at my tribulations for you, which
is your glory.

Lord came unto me, saying, 17 Son of man, I have made thee a watchman
unto the house of Israel: therefore hear the word at my mouth, and give
them warning from me. 18 When I say unto the wicked, Thou shalt surely
die; and thou givest him not warning, nor speakest to warn the wicked
from his wicked way, to save his life; the same wicked man shall die in
his iniquity; but his blood will I require at thine hand. 19 Yet if thou
warn the wicked, and he turn not from his wickedness, nor from his
wicked way, he shall die in his iniquity; but thou hast delivered thy
soul. 20 Again, When a righteous man doth turn from his righteousness,
and commit iniquity, and I lay a stumbling block before him, he shall
die: because thou hast not given him warning, he shall die in his sin,
and his righteousness which he hath done shall not be remembered; but
his blood will I require at thine hand. 21 Nevertheless if thou warn the
righteous man, that the righteous sin not, and he doth not sin, he shall
surely live, because he is warned; also thou hast delivered thy
soul.

governor of the feast. And they bare it. 9 When the ruler of the feast
had tasted the water that was made wine, and knew not whence it was:
(but the servants which drew the water knew;) the governor of the feast
called the bridegroom, 10 And saith unto him, Every man at the beginning
doth set forth good wine; and when men have well drunk, then that which
is worse: but thou hast kept the good wine until now. 11 This beginning
of miracles did Jesus in Cana of Galilee, and manifested forth his
glory; and his disciples believed on him. 12 After this he went down to
Capernaum, he, and his mother, and his brethren, and his disciples: and
they continued there not many days.

thee. 30 Strive not with a man without cause, if he have done thee no
harm. 31 Envy thou not the oppressor, and choose none of his ways. 32
For the froward is abomination to the Lord: but his secret is with the
righteous. 33 The curse of the Lord is in the house of the wicked: but
he blesseth the habitation of the just. 34 Surely he scorneth the
scorners: but he giveth grace unto the lowly. 35 The wise shall inherit
glory: but shame shall be the promotion of fools.

10 Behold the day, behold, it is come: the morning is gone forth; the
rod hath blossomed, pride hath budded. 11 Violence is risen up into a
rod of wickedness: none of them shall remain, nor of their multitude,
nor of any of theirs: neither shall there be wailing for them. 12 The
time is come, the day draweth near: let not the buyer rejoice, nor the
seller mourn: for wrath is upon all the multitude thereof. 13 For the
seller shall not return to that which is sold, although they were yet
alive: for the vision is touching the whole multitude thereof, which
shall not return; neither shall any strengthen himself in the iniquity
of his life. 14 They have blown the trumpet, even to make all ready; but
none goeth to the battle: for my wrath is upon all the multitude
thereof. 15 The sword is without, and the pestilence and the famine
within: he that is in the field shall die with the sword; and he that is
in the city, famine and pestilence shall devour him.
23 Make a chain: for the land is full of bloody crimes, and the city
is full of violence. 24 Wherefore I will bring the worst of the heathen,
and they shall possess their houses: I will also make the pomp of the
strong to cease; and their holy places shall be defiled. 25 Destruction
cometh; and they shall seek peace, and there shall be none. 26 Mischief
shall come upon mischief, and rumour shall be upon rumour; then shall
they seek a vision of the prophet; but the law shall perish from the
priest, and counsel from the ancients. 27 The king shall mourn, and the
prince shall be clothed with desolation, and the hands of the people of
the land shall be troubled: I will do unto them after their way, and
according to their deserts will I judge them; and they shall know that I
am the Lord.

doves, and the changers of money sitting: 15 And when he had made a

sheep, and the oxen; and poured out the changers' money, and overthrew
the tables; 16 And said unto them that sold doves, Take these things
hence; make not my Father's house an house of merchandise. 17 And his
disciples remembered that it was written, The zeal of thine house hath
eaten me up. 18 Then answered the Jews and said unto him, What sign
shewest thou unto us, seeing that thou doest these things? 19 Jesus
answered and said unto them, Destroy this temple, and in three days I
will raise it up. 20 Then said the Jews, Forty and six years was this
temple in building, and wilt thou rear it up in three days? 21 But he
spake of the temple of his body. 22 When therefore he was risen from the
dead, his disciples remembered that he had said this unto them; and they
believed the scripture, and the word which Jesus had said. 23 Now when
he was in Jerusalem at the passover, in the feast day, many believed in
his name, when they saw the miracles which he did. 24 But Jesus did not
commit himself unto them, because he knew all men, 25 And needed not
that any should testify of man: for he knew what was in
man.

7 Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all
thy getting get understanding. 8 Exalt her, and she shall promote thee:
she shall bring thee to honour, when thou dost embrace her. 9 She shall
give to thine head an ornament of grace: a crown of glory shall she
deliver to thee. 10 Hear, O my son, and receive my sayings; and the
years of thy life shall be many. 11 I have taught thee in the way of
wisdom; I have led thee in right paths. 12 When thou goest, thy steps
shall not be straitened; and when thou runnest, thou shalt not stumble.
13 Take fast hold of instruction; let her not go: keep her; for she is
thy life. 14 Enter not into the path of the wicked, and go not in the
way of evil men. 15 Avoid it, pass not by it, turn from it, and pass
away. 16 For they sleep not, except they have done mischief; and their
sleep is taken away, unless they cause some to fall. 17 For they eat the
bread of wickedness, and drink the wine of violence. 18 But the path of
the just is as the shining light, that shineth more and more unto the
perfect day.

There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of

every one of us is given grace according to the measure of the gift of
Christ. 8 Wherefore he saith, When he ascended up on high, he led
captivity captive, and gave gifts unto men. 9 (Now that he ascended,
what is it but that he also descended first into the lower parts of the
earth? 10 He that descended is the same also that ascended up far above
all heavens, that he might fill all things.) 11 And he gave some,
apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors
and teachers; 12 For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the
ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ: 13 Till we all come in
the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a
perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:
14 That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and
carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and
cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive; 15 But speaking
the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the
head, even Christ: 16 From whom the whole body fitly joined together and
compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the
effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the
body unto the edifying of itself in love.

have said, Get you far from the Lord: unto us is this land given in
possession. 16 Therefore say, Thus saith the Lord God; Although I have
cast them far off among the heathen, and although I have scattered them
among the countries, yet will I be to them as a little sanctuary in the
countries where they shall come. 17 Therefore say, Thus saith the Lord
God; I will even gather you from the people, and assemble you out of the
countries where ye have been scattered, and I will give you the land of
Israel. 18 And they shall come thither, and they shall take away all the
detestable things thereof and all the abominations thereof from thence.
19 And I will give them one heart, and I will put a new spirit within
you; and I will take the stony heart out of their flesh, and will give
them an heart of flesh: 20 That they may walk in my statutes, and keep
mine ordinances, and do them: and they shall be my people, and I will be
their God.

Jews: 2 The same came to Jesus by night, and said unto him, Rabbi, we
know that thou art a teacher come from God: for no man can do these
miracles that thou doest, except God be with him. 3 Jesus answered and
said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born
again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. 4 Nicodemus saith unto him, How
can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his
mother's womb, and be born? 5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto
thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter
into the kingdom of God. 6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and
that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. 7 Marvel not that I said
unto thee, Ye must be born again. 8 The wind bloweth where it listeth,
and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh,
and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit. 9
Nicodemus answered and said unto him, How can these things be? 10 Jesus
answered and said unto him, Art thou a master of Israel, and knowest not
these things? 11 Verily, verily, I say unto thee, We speak that we do
know, and testify that we have seen; and ye receive not our witness. 12
If I have told you earthly things, and ye believe not, how shall ye
believe, if I tell you of heavenly things? 13 And no man hath ascended
up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man
which is in heaven.
