Lesson Isaiah 58
1 Cry aloud, spare not, lift up thy voice like a
trumpet, and shew my people their transgression, and the house of Jacob
their sins. 2 Yet they seek me daily, and delight to know my ways, as a
nation that did righteousness, and forsook not the ordinance of their
God: they ask of me the ordinances of justice; they take delight in
approaching to God. 3 Wherefore have we fasted, say they, and thou seest
not? wherefore have we afflicted our soul, and thou takest no knowledge?
Behold, in the day of your fast ye find pleasure, and exact all your
labours. 4 Behold, ye fast for strife and debate, and to smite with the
fist of wickedness: ye shall not fast as ye do this day, to make your
voice to be heard on high. 5 Is it such a fast that I have chosen? a day
for a man to afflict his soul? is it to bow down his head as a bulrush,
and to spread sackcloth and ashes under him? wilt thou call this a fast,
and an acceptable day to the Lord? 6 Is not this the fast that I have
chosen? to loose the bands of wickedness, to undo the heavy burdens, and
to let the oppressed go free, and that ye break every yoke? 7 Is it not
to deal thy bread to the hungry, and that thou bring the poor that are
cast out to thy house? when thou seest the naked, that thou cover him;
and that thou hide not thyself from thine own flesh? 8 Then shall thy
light break forth as the morning, and thine health shall spring forth
speedily: and thy righteousness shall go before thee; the glory of the
Lord shall be thy rearward. 9 Then shalt thou call, and the Lord shall
answer; thou shalt cry, and he shall say, Here I am. If thou take away
from the midst of thee the yoke, the putting forth of the finger, and
speaking vanity; 10 And if thou draw out thy soul to the hungry, and
satisfy the afflicted soul; then shall thy light rise in obscurity, and
thy darkness be as the noon day: 11 And the Lord shall guide thee
continually, and satisfy thy soul in drought, and make fat thy bones:
and thou shalt be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water,
whose waters fail not. 12 And they that shall be of thee shall build the
old waste places: thou shalt raise up the foundations of many
generations; and thou shalt be called, The repairer of the breach, The
restorer of paths to dwell in. 13 If thou turn away thy foot from the
sabbath, from doing thy pleasure on my holy day; and call the sabbath a
delight, the holy of the Lord, honourable; and shalt honour him, not
doing thine own ways, nor finding thine own pleasure, nor speaking thine
own words: 14 Then shalt thou delight thyself in the Lord; and I will
cause thee to ride upon the high places of the earth, and feed thee with
the heritage of Jacob thy father: for the mouth of the Lord hath spoken
it.

Lesson Matthew 6:1-18
1 Take heed that ye do not your alms before men,
to be seen of them: otherwise ye have no reward of your Father which is
in heaven. 2 Therefore when thou doest thine alms, do not sound a
trumpet before thee, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the
streets, that they may have glory of men. Verily I say unto you, They
have their reward. 3 But when thou doest alms, let not thy left hand
know what thy right hand doeth: 4 That thine alms may be in secret: and
thy Father which seeth in secret himself shall reward thee openly. 5 And
when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they
love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the
streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have
their reward. 6 But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and
when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and
thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly. 7 But when ye
pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that
they shall be heard for their much speaking. 8 Be not ye therefore like
unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before
ye ask him. 9 After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art
in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. 10 Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done
in earth, as it is in heaven. 11 Give us this day our daily bread. 12
And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. 13 And lead us not
into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and
the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen. 14 For if ye forgive men their
trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you: 15 But if ye
forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your
trespasses. 16 Moreover when ye fast, be not, as the hypocrites, of a
sad countenance: for they disfigure their faces, that they may appear
unto men to fast. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward. 17 But
thou, when thou fastest, anoint thine head, and wash thy face; 18 That
thou appear not unto men to fast, but unto thy Father which is in
secret: and thy Father, which seeth in secret, shall reward thee
openly.

Lesson Ecclesiasticus.
2
1 My son, if thou come to serve the Lord, prepare
thy soul for temptation. 2 Set thy heart aright,
and constantly endure, and make not haste in time of trouble. 3 Cleave unto him, and depart not away, that thou
mayest be increased at thy last end. 4 Whatsoever
is brought upon thee take cheerfully, and be patient when thou art
changed to a low estate. 5 For gold is tried in
the fire, and acceptable men in the furnace of adversity. 6 Believe in him, and he will help thee; order thy
way aright and trust in him. 7 Ye that fear the
Lord, wait for his mercy; and go not aside, lest ye fall. 8 Ye that fear the Lord, believe him; and your
reward shall not fail. 9 Ye that fear the Lord,
hope for good, and for everlasting joy and mercy. 10 Look at the generations of old, and see; did ever
any trust in the Lord, and was confounded? or did any abide in his fear,
and was forsaken? or whom did he ever despise, that called upon him? 11 For the Lord is full of compassion and mercy,
longsuffering, and very pitiful, and forgiveth sins, and saveth in time
of affliction. 12 Woe be to fearful hearts, and
faint hands, and the sinner that goeth two ways! 13 Woe unto him that is fainthearted! for he
believeth not; therefore shall he not be defended. 14 Woe unto you that have lost patience! and what
will ye do when the Lord shall visit you? 15 They
that fear the Lord will not disobey his Word; and they that love him
will keep his ways. 16 They that fear the Lord
will seek that which is well, pleasing unto him; and they that love him
shall be filled with the law. 17 They that fear
the Lord will prepare their hearts, and humble their souls in his
sight, 18 Saying, We will fall into the hands of
the Lord, and not into the hands of men: for as his majesty is, so is
his mercy.

Lesson Romans 7:14
14 For we know that the law is spiritual: but I
am carnal, sold under sin. 15 For that which I do I allow not: for what
I would, that do I not; but what I hate, that do I. 16 If then I do that
which I would not, I consent unto the law that it is good. 17 Now then
it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me. 18 For I know
that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing: for to will
is present with me; but how to perform that which is good I find not. 19
For the good that I would I do not: but the evil which I would not, that
I do. 20 Now if I do that I would not, it is no more I that do it, but
sin that dwelleth in me. 21 I find then a law, that, when I would do
good, evil is present with me. 22 For I delight in the law of God after
the inward man: 23 But I see another law in my members, warring against
the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin
which is in my members. 24 O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver
me from the body of this death? 25 I thank God through Jesus Christ our
Lord. So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God; but with the
flesh the law of sin.

Lesson Jeremiah 17:5-14
5 Thus saith the Lord; Cursed be the man that
trusteth in man, and maketh flesh his arm, and whose heart departeth
from the Lord. 6 For he shall be like the heath in the desert, and shall
not see when good cometh; but shall inhabit the parched places in the
wilderness, in a salt land and not inhabited. 7 Blessed is the man that
trusteth in the Lord, and whose hope the Lord is. 8 For he shall be as a
tree planted by the waters, and that spreadeth out her roots by the
river, and shall not see when heat cometh, but her leaf shall be green;
and shall not be careful in the year of drought, neither shall cease
from yielding fruit. 9 The heart is deceitful above all things, and
desperately wicked: who can know it? 10 I the Lord search the heart, I
try the reins, even to give every man according to his ways, and
according to the fruit of his doings. 11 As the partridge sitteth on
eggs, and hatcheth them not; so he that getteth riches, and not by
right, shall leave them in the midst of his days, and at his end shall
be a fool. 12 A glorious high throne from the beginning is the place of
our sanctuary. 13 O Lord, the hope of Israel, all that forsake thee
shall be ashamed, and they that depart from me shall be written in the
earth, because they have forsaken the Lord, the fountain of living
waters. 14 Heal me, O Lord, and I shall be healed; save me, and I shall
be saved: for thou art my praise.

Lesson 1 Corinthians 10:1-13
1 Moreover, brethren, I would not that ye should
be ignorant, how that all our fathers were under the cloud, and all
passed through the sea; 2 And were all baptized unto Moses in the cloud
and in the sea; 3 And did all eat the same spiritual meat; 4 And did all
drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that spiritual Rock
that followed them: and that Rock was Christ. 5 But with many of them
God was not well pleased: for they were overthrown in the wilderness. 6
Now these things were our examples, to the intent we should not lust
after evil things, as they also lusted. 7 Neither be ye idolaters, as
were some of them; as it is written, The people sat down to eat and
drink, and rose up to play. 8 Neither let us commit fornication, as some
of them committed, and fell in one day three and twenty thousand. 9
Neither let us tempt Christ, as some of them also tempted, and were
destroyed of serpents. 10 Neither murmur ye, as some of them also
murmured, and were destroyed of the destroyer. 11 Now all these things
happened unto them for ensamples: and they are written for our
admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come. 12 Wherefore let
him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall. 13 There hath no
temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful,
who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will
with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to
bear it.

Lesson Daniel 9:3-10
3 And I set my face unto the Lord God, to seek by
prayer and supplications, with fasting, and sackcloth, and ashes: 4 And
I prayed unto the Lord my God, and made my confession, and said, O Lord,
the great and dreadful God, keeping the covenant and mercy to them that
love him, and to them that keep his commandments; 5 We have sinned, and
have committed iniquity, and have done wickedly, and have rebelled, even
by departing from thy precepts and from thy judgments: 6 Neither have we
hearkened unto thy servants the prophets, which spake in thy name to our
kings, our princes, and our fathers, and to all the people of the land.
7 O Lord, righteousness belongeth unto thee, but unto us confusion of
faces, as at this day; to the men of Judah, and to the inhabitants of
Jerusalem, and unto all Israel, that are near, and that are far off,
through all the countries whither thou hast driven them, because of
their trespass that they have trespassed against thee. 8 O Lord, to us
belongeth confusion of face, to our kings, to our princes, and to our
fathers, because we have sinned against thee. 9 To the Lord our God
belong mercies and forgivenesses, though we have rebelled against him;
10 Neither have we obeyed the voice of the Lord our God, to walk in his
laws, which he set before us by his servants the prophets.

Lesson Luke 5:33—6:10
33 And they said unto him, Why do the disciples
of John fast often, and make prayers, and likewise the disciples of the
Pharisees; but thine eat and drink? 34 And he said unto them, Can ye
make the children of the bridechamber fast, while the bridegroom is with
them? 35 But the days will come, when the bridegroom shall be taken away
from them, and then shall they fast in those days. 36 And he spake also
a parable unto them; No man putteth a piece of a new garment upon an
old; if otherwise, then both the new maketh a rent, and the piece that
was taken out of the new agreeth not with the old. 37 And no man putteth
new wine into old bottles; else the new wine will burst the bottles, and
be spilled, and the bottles shall perish. 38 But new wine must be put
into new bottles; and both are preserved. 39 No man also having drunk
old wine straightway desireth new: for he saith, The old is better.
1 And it came to pass on the second sabbath after
the first, that he went through the corn fields; and his disciples
plucked the ears of corn, and did eat, rubbing them in their hands. 2
And certain of the Pharisees said unto them, Why do ye that which is not
lawful to do on the sabbath days? 3 And Jesus answering them said, Have
ye not read so much as this, what David did, when himself was an
hungred, and they which were with him; 4 How he went into the house of
God, and did take and eat the shewbread, and gave also to them that were
with him; which it is not lawful to eat but for the priests alone? 5 And
he said unto them, That the Son of man is Lord also of the sabbath. 6
And it came to pass also on another sabbath, that he entered into the
synagogue and taught: and there was a man whose right hand was withered.
7 And the scribes and Pharisees watched him, whether he would heal on
the sabbath day; that they might find an accusation against him. 8 But
he knew their thoughts, and said to the man which had the withered hand,
Rise up, and stand forth in the midst. And he arose and stood forth. 9
Then said Jesus unto them, I will ask you one thing; Is it lawful on the
sabbath days to do good, or to do evil? to save life, or to destroy it?
10 And looking round about upon them all, he said unto the man, Stretch
forth thy hand. And he did so: and his hand was restored whole as the
other.

Lesson Genesis 24:1-27
1 And Abraham was old, and well stricken in age:
and the Lord had blessed Abraham in all things. 2 And Abraham said unto
his eldest servant of his house, that ruled over all that he had, Put, I
pray thee, thy hand under my thigh: 3 And I will make thee swear by the
Lord, the God of heaven, and the God of the earth, that thou shalt not
take a wife unto my son of the daughters of the Canaanites, among whom I
dwell: 4 But thou shalt go unto my country, and to my kindred, and take
a wife unto my son Isaac. 5 And the servant said unto him, Peradventure
the woman will not be willing to follow me unto this land: must I needs
bring thy son again unto the land from whence thou camest? 6 And Abraham
said unto him, Beware thou that thou bring not my son thither again. 7
The Lord God of heaven, which took me from my father's house, and from
the land of my kindred, and which spake unto me, and that sware unto me,
saying, Unto thy seed will I give this land; he shall send his angel
before thee, and thou shalt take a wife unto my son from thence. 8 And
if the woman will not be willing to follow thee, then thou shalt be
clear from this my oath: only bring not my son thither again. 9 And the
servant put his hand under the thigh of Abraham his master, and sware to
him concerning that matter. 10 And the servant took ten camels of the
camels of his master, and departed; for all the goods of his master were
in his hand: and he arose, and went to Mesopotamia, unto the city of
Nahor. 11 And he made his camels to kneel down without the city by a
well of water at the time of the evening, even the time that women go
out to draw water. 12 And he said, O Lord God of my master Abraham, I
pray thee, send me good speed this day, and shew kindness unto my master
Abraham. 13 Behold, I stand here by the well of water; and the daughters
of the men of the city come out to draw water: 14 And let it come to
pass, that the damsel to whom I shall say, Let down thy pitcher, I pray
thee, that I may drink; and she shall say, Drink, and I will give thy
camels drink also: let the same be she that thou hast appointed for thy
servant Isaac; and thereby shall I know that thou hast shewed kindness
unto my master. 15 And it came to pass, before he had done speaking,
that, behold, Rebekah came out, who was born to Bethuel, son of Milcah,
the wife of Nahor, Abraham's brother, with her pitcher upon her
shoulder. 16 And the damsel was very fair to look upon, a virgin,
neither had any man known her: and she went down to the well, and filled
her pitcher, and came up. 17 And the servant ran to meet her, and said,
Let me, I pray thee, drink a little water of thy pitcher. 18 And she
said, Drink, my lord: and she hasted, and let down her pitcher upon her
hand, and gave him drink. 19 And when she had done giving him drink, she
said, I will draw water for thy camels also, until they have done
drinking. 20 And she hasted, and emptied her pitcher into the trough,
and ran again unto the well to draw water, and drew for all his camels.
21 And the man wondering at her held his peace, to wit whether the Lord
had made his journey prosperous or not. 22 And it came to pass, as the
camels had done drinking, that the man took a golden earring of half a
shekel weight, and two bracelets for her hands of ten shekels weight of
gold; 23 And said, Whose daughter art thou? tell me, I pray thee: is
there room in thy father's house for us to lodge in? 24 And she said
unto him, I am the daughter of Bethuel the son of Milcah, which she bare
unto Nahor. 25 She said moreover unto him, We have both straw and
provender enough, and room to lodge in. 26 And the man bowed down his
head, and worshipped the Lord. 27 And he said, Blessed be the Lord God
of my master Abraham, who hath not left destitute my master of his mercy
and his truth: I being in the way, the Lord led me to the house of my
master's brethren.

Lesson I Corinthians 3:1-17
1 And I, brethren, could not speak unto you as
unto spiritual, but as unto carnal, even as unto babes in Christ. 2 I
have fed you with milk, and not with meat: for hitherto ye were not able
to bear it, neither yet now are ye able. 3 For ye are yet carnal: for
whereas there is among you envying, and strife, and divisions, are ye
not carnal, and walk as men? 4 For while one saith, I am of Paul; and
another, I am of Apollos; are ye not carnal? 5 Who then is Paul, and who
is Apollos, but ministers by whom ye believed, even as the Lord gave to
every man? 6 I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase.
7 So then neither is he that planteth any thing, neither he that
watereth; but God that giveth the increase. 8 Now he that planteth and
he that watereth are one: and every man shall receive his own reward
according to his own labour. 9 For we are labourers together with God:
ye are God's husbandry, ye are God's building. 10 According to the grace
of God which is given unto me, as a wise masterbuilder, I have laid the
foundation, and another buildeth thereon. But let every man take heed
how he buildeth thereupon. 11 For other foundation can no man lay than
that is laid, which is Jesus Christ. 12 Now if any man build upon this
foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble; 13 Every
man's work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because
it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man's work of
what sort it is. 14 If any man's work abide which he hath built
thereupon, he shall receive a reward. 15 If any man's work shall be
burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as
by fire. 16 Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the
Spirit of God dwelleth in you? 17 If any man defile the temple of God,
him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye
are.

19 But I said, How shall I put thee among the
children, and give thee a pleasant land, a goodly heritage of the hosts
of nations? and I said, Thou shalt call me, My father; and shalt not
turn away from me. 20 Surely as a wife treacherously departeth from her
husband, so have ye dealt treacherously with me, O house of Israel,
saith the Lord. 21 A voice was heard upon the high places, weeping and
supplications of the children of Israel: for they have perverted their
way, and they have forgotten the Lord their God. 22 Return, ye
backsliding children, and I will heal your backslidings. Behold, we come
unto thee; for thou art the Lord our God. 23 Truly in vain is salvation
hoped for from the hills, and from the multitude of mountains: truly in
the Lord our God is the salvation of Israel. 24 For shame hath devoured
the labour of our fathers from our youth; their flocks and their herds,
their sons and their daughters. 25 We lie down in our shame, and our
confusion covereth us: for we have sinned against the Lord our God, we
and our fathers, from our youth even unto this day, and have not obeyed
the voice of the Lord our God.

Lesson John 9:1-23
1 And as Jesus passed by, he saw a man which was
blind from his birth. 2 And his disciples asked him, saying, Master, who
did sin, this man, or his parents, that he was born blind? 3 Jesus
answered, Neither hath this man sinned, nor his parents: but that the
works of God should be made manifest in him. 4 I must work the works of
him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can
work. 5 As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world. 6
When he had thus spoken, he spat on the ground, and made clay of the
spittle, and he anointed the eyes of the blind man with the clay, 7 And
said unto him, Go, wash in the pool of Siloam, (which is by
interpretation, Sent.) He went his way therefore, and washed, and came
seeing. 8 The neighbours therefore, and they which before had seen him
that he was blind, said, Is not this he that sat and begged? 9 Some
said, This is he: others said, He is like him: but he said, I am he. 10
Therefore said they unto him, How were thine eyes opened? 11 He answered
and said, A man that is called Jesus made clay, and anointed mine eyes,
and said unto me, Go to the pool of Siloam, and wash: and I went and
washed, and I received sight. 12 Then said they unto him, Where is he?
He said, I know not. 13 They brought to the Pharisees him that aforetime
was blind. 14 And it was the sabbath day when Jesus made the clay, and
opened his eyes. 15 Then again the Pharisees also asked him how he had
received his sight. He said unto them, He put clay upon mine eyes, and I
washed, and do see. 16 Therefore said some of the Pharisees, This man is
not of God, because he keepeth not the sabbath day. Others said, How can
a man that is a sinner do such miracles? And there was a division among
them. 17 They say unto the blind man again, What sayest thou of him,
that he hath opened thine eyes? He said, He is a prophet. 18 But the
Jews did not believe concerning him, that he had been blind, and
received his sight, until they called the parents of him that had
received his sight. 19 And they asked them, saying, Is this your son,
who ye say was born blind? how then doth he now see? 20 His parents
answered them and said, We know that this is our son, and that he was
born blind: 21 But by what means he now seeth, we know not; or who hath
opened his eyes, we know not: he is of age; ask him: he shall speak for
himself. 22 These words spake his parents, because they feared the Jews:
for the Jews had agreed already, that if any man did confess that he was
Christ, he should be put out of the synagogue. 23 Therefore said his
parents, He is of age; ask him.

Lesson Genesis 24:28-38, 49-51, 58-67
28 And the damsel ran, and told them of her
mother's house these things. 29 And Rebekah had a brother, and his name
was Laban: and Laban ran out unto the man, unto the well. 30 And it came
to pass, when he saw the earring and bracelets upon his sister's hands,
and when he heard the words of Rebekah his sister, saying, Thus spake
the man unto me; that he came unto the man; and, behold, he stood by the
camels at the well. 31 And he said, Come in, thou blessed of the Lord;
wherefore standest thou without? for I have prepared the house, and room
for the camels. 32 And the man came into the house: and he ungirded his
camels, and gave straw and provender for the camels, and water to wash
his feet, and the men's feet that were with him. 33 And there was set
meat before him to eat: but he said, I will not eat, until I have told
mine errand. And he said, Speak on. 34 And he said, I am Abraham's
servant. 35 And the Lord hath blessed my master greatly; and he is
become great: and he hath given him flocks, and herds, and silver, and
gold, and menservants, and maidservants, and camels, and asses. 36 And
Sarah my master's wife bare a son to my master when she was old: and
unto him hath he given all that he hath. 37 And my master made me swear,
saying, Thou shalt not take a wife to my son of the daughters of the
Canaanites, in whose land I dwell: 38 But thou shalt go unto my father's
house, and to my kindred, and take a wife unto my son.
49 And now if ye will deal kindly and truly with
my master, tell me: and if not, tell me; that I may turn to the right
hand, or to the left. 50 Then Laban and Bethuel answered and said, The
thing proceedeth from the Lord: we cannot speak unto thee bad or good.
51 Behold, Rebekah is before thee, take her and go, and let her be thy
master's son's wife, as the Lord hath spoken.
58 And they called Rebekah, and said unto her,
Wilt thou go with this man? And she said, I will go. 59 And they sent
away Rebekah their sister, and her nurse, and Abraham's servant, and his
men. 60 And they blessed Rebekah, and said unto her, Thou art our
sister, be thou the mother of thousands of millions, and let thy seed
possess the gate of those which hate them. 61 And Rebekah arose, and her
damsels, and they rode upon the camels, and followed the man: and the
servant took Rebekah, and went his way. 62 And Isaac came from the way
of the well Lahairoi; for he dwelt in the south country. 63 And Isaac
went out to meditate in the field at the eventide: and he lifted up his
eyes, and saw, and, behold, the camels were coming. 64 And Rebekah
lifted up her eyes, and when she saw Isaac, she lighted off the camel.
65 For she had said unto the servant, What man is this that walketh in
the field to meet us? And the servant had said, It is my master:
therefore she took a veil, and covered herself. 66 And the servant told
Isaac all things that he had done. 67 And Isaac brought her into his
mother Sarah's tent, and took Rebekah, and she became his wife; and he
loved her: and Isaac was comforted after his mother's death.

Lesson I Corinthians 3:18—4:5
18 Let no man deceive himself. If any man among
you seemeth to be wise in this world, let him become a fool, that he may
be wise. 19 For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it
is written, He taketh the wise in their own craftiness. 20 And again,
The Lord knoweth the thoughts of the wise, that they are vain. 21
Therefore let no man glory in men. For all things are yours; 22 Whether
Paul, or Apollos, or Cephas, or the world, or life, or death, or things
present, or things to come; all are yours; 23 And ye are Christ's; and
Christ is God's.
1 Let a man so account of us, as of the ministers
of Christ, and stewards of the mysteries of God. 2 Moreover it is
required in stewards, that a man be found faithful. 3 But with me it is
a very small thing that I should be judged of you, or of man's judgment:
yea, I judge not mine own self. 4 For I know nothing by myself; yet am I
not hereby justified: but he that judgeth me is the Lord. 5 Therefore
judge nothing before the time, until the Lord come, who both will bring
to light the hidden things of darkness, and will make manifest the
counsels of the hearts: and then shall every man have praise of God.

Lesson Jeremiah 4:1-9
1 If thou wilt return, O Israel, saith the Lord,
return unto me: and if thou wilt put away thine abominations out of my
sight, then shalt thou not remove. 2 And thou shalt swear, The Lord
liveth, in truth, in judgment, and in righteousness; and the nations
shall bless themselves in him, and in him shall they glory. 3 For thus
saith the Lord to the men of Judah and Jerusalem, Break up your fallow
ground, and sow not among thorns. 4 Circumcise yourselves to the Lord,
and take away the foreskins of your heart, ye men of Judah and
inhabitants of Jerusalem: lest my fury come forth like fire, and burn
that none can quench it, because of the evil of your doings. 5 Declare
ye in Judah, and publish in Jerusalem; and say, Blow ye the trumpet in
the land: cry, gather together, and say, Assemble yourselves, and let us
go into the defenced cities. 6 Set up the standard toward Zion: retire,
stay not: for I will bring evil from the north, and a great destruction.
7 The lion is come up from his thicket, and the destroyer of the
Gentiles is on his way; he is gone forth from his place to make thy land
desolate; and thy cities shall be laid waste, without an inhabitant. 8
For this gird you with sackcloth, lament and howl: for the fierce anger
of the Lord is not turned back from us. 9 And it shall come to pass at
that day, saith the Lord, that the heart of the king shall perish, and
the heart of the princes; and the priests shall be astonished, and the
prophets shall wonder.

Lesson John 9:24
24 Then again called they the man that was blind,
and said unto him, Give God the praise: we know that this man is a
sinner. 25 He answered and said, Whether he be a sinner or no, I know
not: one thing I know, that, whereas I was blind, now I see. 26 Then
said they to him again, What did he to thee? how opened he thine eyes?
27 He answered them, I have told you already, and ye did not hear:
wherefore would ye hear it again? will ye also be his disciples? 28 Then
they reviled him, and said, Thou art his disciple; but we are Moses'
disciples. 29 We know that God spake unto Moses: as for this fellow, we
know not from whence he is. 30 The man answered and said unto them, Why
herein is a marvellous thing, that ye know not from whence he is, and
yet he hath opened mine eyes. 31 Now we know that God heareth not
sinners: but if any man be a worshipper of God, and doeth his will, him
he heareth. 32 Since the world began was it not heard that any man
opened the eyes of one that was born blind. 33 If this man were not of
God, he could do nothing. 34 They answered and said unto him, Thou wast
altogether born in sins, and dost thou teach us? And they cast him out.
35 Jesus heard that they had cast him out; and when he had found him, he
said unto him, Dost thou believe on the Son of God? 36 He answered and
said, Who is he, Lord, that I might believe on him? 37 And Jesus said
unto him, Thou hast both seen him, and it is he that talketh with thee.
38 And he said, Lord, I believe. And he worshipped him. 39 And Jesus
said, For judgment I am come into this world, that they which see not
might see; and that they which see might be made blind. 40 And some of
the Pharisees which were with him heard these words, and said unto him,
Are we blind also? 41 Jesus said unto them, If ye were blind, ye should
have no sin: but now ye say, We see; therefore your sin remaineth.

Lesson Ezekiel 2
1 And he said unto me, Son of man, stand upon thy
feet, and I will speak unto thee. 2 And the spirit entered into me when
he spake unto me, and set me upon my feet, that I heard him that spake
unto me. 3 And he said unto me, Son of man, I send thee to the children
of Israel, to a rebellious nation that hath rebelled against me: they
and their fathers have transgressed against me, even unto this very day.
4 For they are impudent children and stiffhearted. I do send thee unto
them; and thou shalt say unto them, Thus saith the Lord God. 5 And they,
whether they will hear, or whether they will forbear, (for they are a
rebellious house,) yet shall know that there hath been a prophet among
them. 6 And thou, son of man, be not afraid of them, neither be afraid
of their words, though briers and thorns be with thee, and thou dost
dwell among scorpions: be not afraid of their words, nor be dismayed at
their looks, though they be a rebellious house. 7 And thou shalt speak
my words unto them, whether they will hear, or whether they will
forbear: for they are most rebellious. 8 But thou, son of man, hear what
I say unto thee; Be not thou rebellious like that rebellious house: open
thy mouth, and eat that I give thee. 9 And when I looked, behold, an
hand was sent unto me; and, lo, a roll of a book was therein; 10 And he
spread it before me; and it was written within and without: and there
was written therein lamentations, and mourning, and woe.

Lesson Matthew 9:1-13
1 And he entered into a ship, and passed over,
and came into his own city. 2 And, behold, they brought to him a man
sick of the palsy, lying on a bed: and Jesus seeing their faith said
unto the sick of the palsy; Son, be of good cheer; thy sins be forgiven
thee. 3 And, behold, certain of the scribes said within themselves, This
man blasphemeth. 4 And Jesus knowing their thoughts said, Wherefore
think ye evil in your hearts? 5 For whether is easier, to say, Thy sins
be forgiven thee; or to say, Arise, and walk? 6 But that ye may know
that the Son of man hath power on earth to forgive sins, (then saith he
to the sick of the palsy,) Arise, take up thy bed, and go unto thine
house. 7 And he arose, and departed to his house. 8 But when the
multitudes saw it, they marvelled, and glorified God, which had given
such power unto men. 9 And as Jesus passed forth from thence, he saw a
man, named Matthew, sitting at the receipt of custom: and he saith unto
him, Follow me. And he arose, and followed him. 10 And it came to pass,
as Jesus sat at meat in the house, behold, many publicans and sinners
came and sat down with him and his disciples. 11 And when the Pharisees
saw it, they said unto his disciples, Why eateth your Master with
publicans and sinners? 12 But when Jesus heard that, he said unto them,
They that be whole need not a physician, but they that are sick. 13 But
go ye and learn what that meaneth, I will have mercy, and not sacrifice:
for I am not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.

Lesson Ezekiel 3:16
16 And it came to pass at the end of seven days,
that the word of the Lord came unto me, saying, 17 Son of man, I have
made thee a watchman unto the house of Israel: therefore hear the word
at my mouth, and give them warning from me. 18 When I say unto the
wicked, Thou shalt surely die; and thou givest him not warning, nor
speakest to warn the wicked from his wicked way, to save his life; the
same wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood will I require
at thine hand. 19 Yet if thou warn the wicked, and he turn not from his
wickedness, nor from his wicked way, he shall die in his iniquity; but
thou hast delivered thy soul. 20 Again, When a righteous man doth turn
from his righteousness, and commit iniquity, and I lay a stumblingblock
before him, he shall die: because thou hast not given him warning, he
shall die in his sin, and his righteousness which he hath done shall not
be remembered; but his blood will I require at thine hand. 21
Nevertheless if thou warn the righteous man, that the righteous sin not,
and he doth not sin, he shall surely live, because he is warned; also
thou hast delivered thy soul. 22 And the hand of the Lord was there upon
me; and he said unto me, Arise, go forth into the plain, and I will
there talk with thee. 23 Then I arose, and went forth into the plain:
and, behold, the glory of the Lord stood there, as the glory which I saw
by the river of Chebar: and I fell on my face. 24 Then the spirit
entered into me, and set me upon my feet, and spake with me, and said
unto me, Go, shut thyself within thine house. 25 But thou, O son of man,
behold, they shall put bands upon thee, and shall bind thee with them,
and thou shalt not go out among them: 26 And I will make thy tongue
cleave to the roof of thy mouth, that thou shalt be dumb, and shalt not
be to them a reprover: for they are a rebellious house. 27 But when I
speak with thee, I will open thy mouth, and thou shalt say unto them,
Thus saith the Lord God; He that heareth, let him hear; and he that
forbeareth, let him forbear: for they are a rebellious house.

Lesson 2 Corinthians:4
1 Therefore seeing we have this ministry, as we
have received mercy, we faint not; 2 But have renounced the hidden
things of dishonesty, not walking in craftiness, nor handling the word
of God deceitfully; but by manifestation of the truth commending
ourselves to every man's conscience in the sight of God. 3 But if our
gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: 4 In whom the god of
this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the
light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should
shine unto them. 5 For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the
Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus' sake. 6 For God, who
commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts,
to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of
Jesus Christ. 7 But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the
excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us. 8 We are troubled
on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair;
9 Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed; 10 Always
bearing about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life
also of Jesus might be made manifest in our body. 11 For we which live
are alway delivered unto death for Jesus' sake, that the life also of
Jesus might be made manifest in our mortal flesh. 12 So then death
worketh in us, but life in you. 13 We having the same spirit of faith,
according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we
also believe, and therefore speak; 14 Knowing that he which raised up
the Lord Jesus shall raise up us also by Jesus, and shall present us
with you. 15 For all things are for your sakes, that the abundant grace
might through the thanksgiving of many redound to the glory of God. 16
For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the
inward man is renewed day by day. 17 For our light affliction, which is
but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight
of glory; 18 While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the
things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal;
but the things which are not seen are eternal.

profit shall this birthright do to me? 33 And Jacob said, Swear to me

Lesson 1 Corinthians 4:6
6 And these things, brethren, I have in a figure
transferred to myself and to Apollos for your sakes; that ye might learn
in us not to think of men above that which is written, that no one of
you be puffed up for one against another. 7 For who maketh thee to
differ from another? and what hast thou that thou didst not receive? now
if thou didst receive it, why dost thou glory, as if thou hadst not
received it? 8 Now ye are full, now ye are rich, ye have reigned as
kings without us: and I would to God ye did reign, that we also might
reign with you. 9 For I think that God hath set forth us the apostles
last, as it were appointed to death: for we are made a spectacle unto
the world, and to angels, and to men. 10 We are fools for Christ's sake,
but ye are wise in Christ; we are weak, but ye are strong; ye are
honourable, but we are despised. 11 Even unto this present hour we both
hunger, and thirst, and are naked, and are buffeted, and have no certain
dwellingplace; 12 And labour, working with our own hands: being reviled,
we bless; being persecuted, we suffer it: 13 Being defamed, we intreat:
we are made as the filth of the world, and are the offscouring of all
things unto this day. 14 I write not these things to shame you, but as
my beloved sons I warn you. 15 For though ye have ten thousand
instructors in Christ, yet have ye not many fathers: for in Christ Jesus
I have begotten you through the gospel. 16 Wherefore I beseech you, be
ye followers of me. 17 For this cause have I sent unto you Timotheus,
who is my beloved son, and faithful in the Lord, who shall bring you
into remembrance of my ways which be in Christ, as I teach every where
in every church. 18 Now some are puffed up, as though I would not come
to you. 19 But I will come to you shortly, if the Lord will, and will
know, not the speech of them which are puffed up, but the power. 20 For
the kingdom of God is not in word, but in power. 21 What will ye? shall
I come unto you with a rod, or in love, and in the spirit of
meekness?

Lesson Jeremiah 4:11-22
11 At that time shall it be said to this people
and to Jerusalem, A dry wind of the high places in the wilderness toward
the daughter of my people, not to fan, nor to cleanse, 12 Even a full
wind from those places shall come unto me: now also will I give sentence
against them. 13 Behold, he shall come up as clouds, and his chariots
shall be as a whirlwind: his horses are swifter than eagles. Woe unto
us! for we are spoiled. 14 O Jerusalem, wash thine heart from
wickedness, that thou mayest be saved. How long shall thy vain thoughts
lodge within thee? 15 For a voice declareth from Dan, and publisheth
affliction from mount Ephraim. 16 Make ye mention to the nations;
behold, publish against Jerusalem, that watchers come from a far
country, and give out their voice against the cities of Judah. 17 As
keepers of a field, are they against her round about; because she hath
been rebellious against me, saith the Lord. 18 Thy way and thy doings
have procured these things unto thee; this is thy wickedness, because it
is bitter, because it reacheth unto thine heart. 19 My bowels, my
bowels! I am pained at my very heart; my heart maketh a noise in me; I
cannot hold my peace, because thou hast heard, O my soul, the sound of
the trumpet, the alarm of war. 20 Destruction upon destruction is cried;
for the whole land is spoiled: suddenly are my tents spoiled, and my
curtains in a moment. 21 How long shall I see the standard, and hear the
sound of the trumpet? 22 For my people is foolish, they have not known
me; they are sottish children, and they have none understanding: they
are wise to do evil, but to do good they have no knowledge.

Lesson John 10:1-10
1 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that
entereth not by the door into the sheepfold, but climbeth up some other
way, the same is a thief and a robber. 2 But he that entereth in by the
door is the shepherd of the sheep. 3 To him the porter openeth; and the
sheep hear his voice: and he calleth his own sheep by name, and leadeth
them out. 4 And when he putteth forth his own sheep, he goeth before
them, and the sheep follow him: for they know his voice. 5 And a
stranger will they not follow, but will flee from him: for they know not
the voice of strangers. 6 This parable spake Jesus unto them: but they
understood not what things they were which he spake unto them. 7 Then
said Jesus unto them again, Verily, verily, I say unto you, I am the
door of the sheep. 8 All that ever came before me are thieves and
robbers: but the sheep did not hear them. 9 I am the door: by me if any
man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find
pasture. 10 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to
destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have
it more abundantly.

Lesson Ezekiel 34:1-16
1 And the word of the Lord came unto me, saying,
2 Son of man, prophesy against the shepherds of Israel, prophesy, and
say unto them, Thus saith the Lord God unto the shepherds; Woe be to the
shepherds of Israel that do feed themselves! should not the shepherds
feed the flocks? 3 Ye eat the fat, and ye clothe you with the wool, ye
kill them that are fed: but ye feed not the flock. 4 The diseased have
ye not strengthened, neither have ye healed that which was sick, neither
have ye bound up that which was broken, neither have ye brought again
that which was driven away, neither have ye sought that which was lost;
but with force and with cruelty have ye ruled them. 5 And they were
scattered, because there is no shepherd: and they became meat to all the
beasts of the field, when they were scattered. 6 My sheep wandered
through all the mountains, and upon every high hill: yea, my flock was
scattered upon all the face of the earth, and none did search or seek
after them. 7 Therefore, ye shepherds, hear the word of the Lord; 8 As I
live, saith the Lord God, surely because my flock became a prey, and my
flock became meat to every beast of the field, because there was no
shepherd, neither did my shepherds search for my flock, but the
shepherds fed themselves, and fed not my flock; 9 Therefore, O ye
shepherds, hear the word of the Lord; 10 Thus saith the Lord God;
Behold, I am against the shepherds; and I will require my flock at their
hand, and cause them to cease from feeding the flock; neither shall the
shepherds feed themselves any more; for I will deliver my flock from
their mouth, that they may not be meat for them. 11 For thus saith the
Lord God; Behold, I, even I, will both search my sheep, and seek them
out. 12 As a shepherd seeketh out his flock in the day that he is among
his sheep that are scattered; so will I seek out my sheep, and will
deliver them out of all places where they have been scattered in the
cloudy and dark day. 13 And I will bring them out from the people, and
gather them from the countries, and will bring them to their own land,
and feed them upon the mountains of Israel by the rivers, and in all the
inhabited places of the country. 14 I will feed them in a good pasture,
and upon the high mountains of Israel shall their fold be: there shall
they lie in a good fold, and in a fat pasture shall they feed upon the
mountains of Israel. 15 I will feed my flock, and I will cause them to
lie down, saith the Lord God. 16 I will seek that which was lost, and
bring again that which was driven away, and will bind up that which was
broken, and will strengthen that which was sick: but I will destroy the
fat and the strong; I will feed them with judgment.

Lesson Matthew 10:24-33, 37-42
24 The disciple is not above his master, nor the
servant above his lord. 25 It is enough for the disciple that he be as
his master, and the servant as his lord. If they have called the master
of the house Beelzebub, how much more shall they call them of his
household? 26 Fear them not therefore: for there is nothing covered,
that shall not be revealed; and hid, that shall not be known. 27 What I
tell you in darkness, that speak ye in light: and what ye hear in the
ear, that preach ye upon the housetops. 28 And fear not them which kill
the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which
is able to destroy both soul and body in hell. 29 Are not two sparrows
sold for a farthing? and one of them shall not fall on the ground
without your Father. 30 But the very hairs of your head are all
numbered. 31 Fear ye not therefore, ye are of more value than many
sparrows. 32 Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I
confess also before my Father which is in heaven. 33 But whosoever shall
deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in
heaven.
37 He that loveth father or mother more than me
is not worthy of me: and he that loveth son or daughter more than me is
not worthy of me. 38 And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth
after me, is not worthy of me. 39 He that findeth his life shall lose
it: and he that loseth his life for my sake shall find it. 40 He that
receiveth you receiveth me, and he that receiveth me receiveth him that
sent me. 41 He that receiveth a prophet in the name of a prophet shall
receive a prophet's reward; and he that receiveth a righteous man in the
name of a righteous man shall receive a righteous man's reward. 42 And
whosoever shall give to drink unto one of these little ones a cup of
cold water only in the name of a disciple, verily I say unto you, he
shall in no wise lose his reward.

Lesson Ezekiel 37:1-14
1 The hand of the Lord was upon me, and carried
me out in the spirit of the Lord, and set me down in the midst of the
valley which was full of bones, 2 And caused me to pass by them round
about: and, behold, there were very many in the open valley; and, lo,
they were very dry. 3 And he said unto me, Son of man, can these bones
live? And I answered, O Lord God, thou knowest. 4 Again he said unto me,
Prophesy upon these bones, and say unto them, O ye dry bones, hear the
word of the Lord. 5 Thus saith the Lord God unto these bones; Behold, I
will cause breath to enter into you, and ye shall live: 6 And I will lay
sinews upon you, and will bring up flesh upon you, and cover you with
skin, and put breath in you, and ye shall live; and ye shall know that I
am the Lord. 7 So I prophesied as I was commanded: and as I prophesied,
there was a noise, and behold a shaking, and the bones came together,
bone to his bone. 8 And when I beheld, lo, the sinews and the flesh came
up upon them, and the skin covered them above: but there was no breath
in them. 9 Then said he unto me, Prophesy unto the wind, prophesy, son
of man, and say to the wind, Thus saith the Lord God; Come from the four
winds, O breath, and breathe upon these slain, that they may live. 10 So
I prophesied as he commanded me, and the breath came into them, and they
lived, and stood up upon their feet, an exceeding great army. 11 Then he
said unto me, Son of man, these bones are the whole house of Israel:
behold, they say, Our bones are dried, and our hope is lost: we are cut
off from our parts. 12 Therefore prophesy and say unto them, Thus saith
the Lord God; Behold, O my people, I will open your graves, and cause
you to come up out of your graves, and bring you into the land of
Israel. 13 And ye shall know that I am the Lord, when I have opened your
graves, O my people, and brought you up out of your graves, 14 And shall
put my spirit in you, and ye shall live, and I shall place you in your
own land: then shall ye know that I the Lord have spoken it, and
performed it, saith the Lord.

Lesson 1 Timothy 4
1 Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the
latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing
spirits, and doctrines of devils; 2 Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having
their conscience seared with a hot iron; 3 Forbidding to marry, and
commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received
with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth. 4 For every
creature of God is good, and nothing to be refused, if it be received
with thanksgiving: 5 For it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer.
6 If thou put the brethren in remembrance of these things, thou shalt be
a good minister of Jesus Christ, nourished up in the words of faith and
of good doctrine, whereunto thou hast attained. 7 But refuse profane and
old wives' fables, and exercise thyself rather unto godliness. 8 For
bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all
things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to
come. 9 This is a faithful saying and worthy of all acceptation. 10 For
therefore we both labour and suffer reproach, because we trust in the
living God, who is the Saviour of all men, specially of those that
believe. 11 These things command and teach. 12 Let no man despise thy
youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in
conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity. 13 Till I
come, give attendance to reading, to exhortation, to doctrine. 14
Neglect not the gift that is in thee, which was given thee by prophecy,
with the laying on of the hands of the presbytery. 15 Meditate upon
these things; give thyself wholly to them; that thy profiting may appear
to all. 16 Take heed unto thyself, and unto the doctrine; continue in
them: for in doing this thou shalt both save thyself, and them that hear
thee.

Lesson Ezekiel 34:17-25, 30-31
17 And as for you, O my flock, thus saith the
Lord God; Behold, I judge between cattle and cattle, between the rams
and the he goats. 18 Seemeth it a small thing unto you to have eaten up
the good pasture, but ye must tread down with your feet the residue of
your pastures? and to have drunk of the deep waters, but ye must foul
the residue with your feet? 19 And as for my flock, they eat that which
ye have trodden with your feet; and they drink that which ye have fouled
with your feet. 20 Therefore thus saith the Lord God unto them; Behold,
I, even I, will judge between the fat cattle and between the lean
cattle. 21 Because ye have thrust with side and with shoulder, and
pushed all the diseased with your horns, till ye have scattered them
abroad; 22 Therefore will I save my flock, and they shall no more be a
prey; and I will judge between cattle and cattle. 23 And I will set up
one shepherd over them, and he shall feed them, even my servant David;
he shall feed them, and he shall be their shepherd. 24 And I the Lord
will be their God, and my servant David a prince among them; I the Lord
have spoken it. 25 And I will make with them a covenant of peace, and
will cause the evil beasts to cease out of the land: and they shall
dwell safely in the wilderness, and sleep in the woods.
30 Thus shall they know that I the Lord their God
am with them, and that they, even the house of Israel, are my people,

men, and I am your God, saith the Lord God.

Lesson 2 Timothy 2:1-15
1 Thou therefore, my son, be strong in the grace
that is in Christ Jesus. 2 And the things that thou hast heard of me
among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be
able to teach others also. 3 Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good
soldier of Jesus Christ. 4 No man that warreth entangleth himself with
the affairs of this life; that he may please him who hath chosen him to
be a soldier. 5 And if a man also strive for masteries, yet is he not
crowned, except he strive lawfully. 6 The husbandman that laboureth must
be first partaker of the fruits. 7 Consider what I say; and the Lord
give thee understanding in all things. 8 Remember that Jesus Christ of
the seed of David was raised from the dead according to my gospel: 9
Wherein I suffer trouble, as an evil doer, even unto bonds; but the word
of God is not bound. 10 Therefore I endure all things for the elect's
sakes, that they may also obtain the salvation which is in Christ Jesus
with eternal glory. 11 It is a faithful saying: For if we be dead with
him, we shall also live with him: 12 If we suffer, we shall also reign
with him: if we deny him, he also will deny us: 13 If we believe not,
yet he abideth faithful: he cannot deny himself. 14 Of these things put
them in remembrance, charging them before the Lord that they strive not
about words to no profit, but to the subverting of the hearers. 15 Study
to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be
ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

Lesson Ezekiel 37:21b
21 And say unto them, Thus saith the Lord God;
Behold, I will take the children of Israel from among the heathen,
whither they be gone, and will gather them on every side, and bring them
into their own land: 22 And I will make them one nation in the land upon
the mountains of Israel; and one king shall be king to them all: and
they shall be no more two nations, neither shall they be divided into
two kingdoms any more at all: 23 Neither shall they defile themselves
any more with their idols, nor with their detestable things, nor with
any of their transgressions: but I will save them out of all their
dwellingplaces, wherein they have sinned, and will cleanse them: so
shall they be my people, and I will be their God. 24 And David my
servant shall be king over them; and they all shall have one shepherd:
they shall also walk in my judgments, and observe my statutes, and do
them. 25 And they shall dwell in the land that I have given unto Jacob
my servant, wherein your fathers have dwelt; and they shall dwell
therein, even they, and their children, and their children's children
for ever: and my servant David shall be their prince for ever. 26
Moreover I will make a covenant of peace with them; it shall be an
everlasting covenant with them: and I will place them, and multiply
them, and will set my sanctuary in the midst of them for evermore. 27 My
tabernacle also shall be with them: yea, I will be their God, and they
shall be my people. 28 And the heathen shall know that I the Lord do
sanctify Israel, when my sanctuary shall be in the midst of them for
evermore.

Lesson 1 Timothy 6:6
6 But godliness with contentment is great gain. 7
For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry
nothing out. 8 And having food and raiment let us be therewith content.
9 But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into
many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and
perdition. 10 For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while
some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced
themselves through with many sorrows. 11 But thou, O man of God, flee
these things; and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love,
patience, meekness. 12 Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on
eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good
profession before many witnesses. 13 I give thee charge in the sight of
God, who quickeneth all things, and before Christ Jesus, who before
Pontius Pilate witnessed a good confession; 14 That thou keep this
commandment without spot, unrebukeable, until the appearing of our Lord
Jesus Christ: 15 Which in his times he shall shew, who is the blessed
and only Potentate, the King of kings, and Lord of lords; 16 Who only
hath immortality, dwelling in the light which no man can approach unto;
whom no man hath seen, nor can see: to whom be honour and power
everlasting. Amen. 17 Charge them that are rich in this world, that they
be not highminded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God,
who giveth us richly all things to enjoy; 18 That they do good, that
they be rich in good works, ready to distribute, willing to communicate;
19 Laying up in store for themselves a good foundation against the time
to come, that they may lay hold on eternal life. 20 O Timothy, keep that
which is committed to thy trust, avoiding profane and vain babblings,
and oppositions of science falsely so called: 21 Which some professing
have erred concerning the faith. Grace be with thee. Amen.
