1st Lesson
Isaiah 1:10-20
10 Hear the word of the Lord, ye rulers of Sodom; give ear
unto the law of our God, ye people of Gomorrah. 11 To what purpose is
the multitude of your sacrifices unto me? saith the Lord: I am full of
the burnt offerings of rams, and the fat of fed beasts; and I delight
not in the blood of bullocks, or of lambs, or of he goats. 12 When ye
come to appear before me, who hath required this at your hand, to tread
my courts? 13 Bring no more vain oblations; incense is an abomination
unto me; the new moons and sabbaths, the calling of assemblies, I
cannot away with; it is iniquity, even the solemn meeting. 14 Your new
moons and your appointed feasts my soul hateth: they are a trouble unto
me; I am weary to bear them. 15 And when ye spread forth your hands, I
will hide mine eyes from you: yea, when ye make many prayers, I will
not hear: your hands are full of blood. 16 Wash you, make you clean;
put away the evil of your doings from before mine eyes; cease to do
evil; 17 Learn to do well; seek judgment, relieve the oppressed, judge
the fatherless, plead for the widow. 18 Come now, and let us reason
together, saith the Lord: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be
as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as
wool. 19 If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the
land: 20 But if ye refuse and rebel, ye shall be devoured with the
sword: for the mouth of the Lord hath spoken it.

2nd Lesson
1 Peter 4:12
12 Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial
which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you: 13
But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ's sufferings; that,
when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding
joy. 14 If ye be reproached for the name of Christ, happy are ye; for
the spirit of glory and of God resteth upon you: on their part he is
evil spoken of, but on your part he is glorified. 15 But let none of
you suffer as a murderer, or as a thief, or as an evildoer, or as a
busybody in other men's matters. 16 Yet if any man suffer as a
Christian, let him not be ashamed; but let him glorify God on this
behalf. 17 For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house
of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that
obey not the gospel of God? 18 And if the righteous scarcely be saved,
where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear? 19 Wherefore let them
that suffer according to the will of God commit the keeping of their
souls to him in well doing, as unto a faithful Creator.

Deuteronomy 18:15
15 The Lord thy God will raise up unto thee a Prophet from
the midst of thee, of thy brethren, like unto me; unto him ye shall
hearken; 16 According to all that thou desiredst of the Lord thy God in
Horeb in the day of the assembly, saying, Let me not hear again the
voice of the Lord my God, neither let me see this great fire any more,
that I die not. 17 And the Lord said unto me, They have well spoken
that which they have spoken. 18 I will raise them up a Prophet from
among their brethren, like unto thee, and will put my words in his
mouth; and he shall speak unto them all that I shall command him. 19
And it shall come to pass, that whosoever will not hearken unto my
words which he shall speak in my name, I will require it of him. 20 But
the prophet, which shall presume to speak a word in my name, which I
have not commanded him to speak, or that shall speak in the name of
other gods, even that prophet shall die. 21 And if thou say in thine
heart, How shall we know the word which the Lord hath not spoken? 22
When a prophet speaketh in the name of the Lord, if the thing follow
not, nor come to pass, that is the thing which the Lord hath not
spoken, but the prophet hath spoken it presumptuously: thou shalt not
be afraid of him.

2nd Lesson
Luke 20:9-18
9 Then began he to speak to the people this parable; A
certain man planted a vineyard, and let it forth to husbandmen, and
went into a far country for a long time. 10 And at the season he sent a
servant to the husbandmen, that they should give him of the fruit of
the vineyard: but the husbandmen beat him, and sent him away empty. 11
And again he sent another servant: and they beat him also, and
entreated him shamefully, and sent him away empty. 12 And again he sent
a third: and they wounded him also, and cast him out. 13 Then said the
lord of the vineyard, What shall I do? I will send my beloved son: it
may be they will reverence him when they see him. 14 But when the
husbandmen saw him, they reasoned among themselves, saying, This is the
heir: come, let us kill him, that the inheritance may be ours. 15 So
they cast him out of the vineyard, and killed him. What therefore shall
the lord of the vineyard do unto them? 16 He shall come and destroy
these husbandmen, and shall give the vineyard to others. And when they
heard it, they said, God forbid. 17 And he beheld them, and said, What
is this then that is written, The stone which the builders rejected,
the same is become the head of the corner? 18 Whosoever shall fall upon
that stone shall be broken; but on whomsoever it shall fall, it will
grind him to powder.

Hosea 6:1-6
1 Come, and let us return unto the Lord: for he hath torn,
and he will heal us; he hath smitten, and he will bind us up. 2 After
two days will he revive us: in the third day he will raise us up, and
we shall live in his sight. 3 Then shall we know, if we follow on to
know the Lord: his going forth is prepared as the morning; and he shall
come unto us as the rain, as the latter and former rain unto the earth.
4 O Ephraim, what shall I do unto thee? O Judah, what shall I do unto
thee? for your goodness is as a morning cloud, and as the early dew it
goeth away. 5 Therefore have I hewed them by the prophets; I have slain
them by the words of my mouth: and thy judgments are as the light that
goeth forth. 6 For I desired mercy, and not sacrifice; and the
knowledge of God more than burnt offerings.

2nd Lesson
Hebrews 10:1-25
1 For the law having a shadow of good things to come, and
not the very image of the things, can never with those sacrifices which
they offered year by year continually make the comers thereunto
perfect. 2 For then would they not have ceased to be offered? because
that the worshippers once purged should have had no more conscience of
sins. 3 But in those sacrifices there is a remembrance again made of
sins every year. 4 For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and
of goats should take away sins. 5 Wherefore when he cometh into the
world, he saith, Sacrifice and offering thou wouldest not, but a body
hast thou prepared me: 6 In burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin thou
hast had no pleasure. 7 Then said I, Lo, I come (in the volume of the
book it is written of me,) to do thy will, O God. 8 Above when he said,
Sacrifice and offering and burnt offerings and offering for sin thou
wouldest not, neither hadst pleasure therein; which are offered by the
law; 9 Then said he, Lo, I come to do thy will, O God. He taketh away
the first, that he may establish the second. 10 By the which will we
are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once
for all. 11 And every priest standeth daily ministering and offering
oftentimes the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins: 12 But
this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat
down on the right hand of God; 13 From henceforth expecting till his
enemies be made his footstool. 14 For by one offering he hath perfected
for ever them that are sanctified. 15 Whereof the Holy Ghost also is a
witness to us: for after that he had said before, 16 This is the
covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith the Lord, I
will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write
them; 17 And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more. 18 Now
where remission of these is, there is no more offering for sin. 19
Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the
blood of Jesus, 20 By a new and living way, which he hath consecrated
for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh; 21 And having an
high priest over the house of God; 22 Let us draw near with a true
heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an
evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water. 23 Let us hold
fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful
that promised;) 24 And let us consider one another to provoke unto love
and to good works: 25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves
together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so
much the more, as ye see the day approaching.

1st Lesson
Jeremiah 14:7-21
7 O Lord, though our iniquities testify against us, do thou
it for thy name's sake: for our backslidings are many; we have sinned
against thee. 8 O the hope of Israel, the saviour thereof in time of
trouble, why shouldest thou be as a stranger in the land, and as a
wayfaring man that turneth aside to tarry for a night? 9 Why shouldest
thou be as a man astonied, as a mighty man that cannot save? yet thou,
O Lord, art in the midst of us, and we are called by thy name; leave us
not. 10 Thus saith the Lord unto this people, Thus have they loved to
wander, they have not refrained their feet, therefore the Lord doth not
accept them; he will now remember their iniquity, and visit their sins.
11 Then said the Lord unto me, Pray not for this people for their good.
12 When they fast, I will not hear their cry; and when they offer burnt
offering and an oblation, I will not accept them: but I will consume
them by the sword, and by the famine, and by the pestilence. 13 Then
said I, Ah, Lord God! behold, the prophets say unto them, Ye shall not
see the sword, neither shall ye have famine; but I will give you
assured peace in this place. 14 Then the Lord said unto me, The
prophets prophesy lies in my name: I sent them not, neither have I
commanded them, neither spake unto them: they prophesy unto you a false
vision and divination, and a thing of nought, and the deceit of their
heart. 15 Therefore thus saith the Lord concerning the prophets that
prophesy in my name, and I sent them not, yet they say, Sword and
famine shall not be in this land; By sword and famine shall those
prophets be consumed. 16 And the people to whom they prophesy shall be
cast out in the streets of Jerusalem because of the famine and the
sword; and they shall have none to bury them, them, their wives, nor
their sons, nor their daughters: for I will pour their wickedness upon
them. 17 Therefore thou shalt say this word unto them; Let mine eyes
run down with tears night and day, and let them not cease: for the
virgin daughter of my people is broken with a great breach, with a very
grievous blow. 18 If I go forth into the field, then behold the slain
with the sword! and if I enter into the city, then behold them that are
sick with famine! yea, both the prophet and the priest go about into a
land that they know not. 19 Hast thou utterly rejected Judah? hath thy
soul loathed Zion? why hast thou smitten us, and there is no healing
for us? we looked for peace, and there is no good; and for the time of
healing, and behold trouble! 20 We acknowledge, O Lord, our wickedness,
and the iniquity of our fathers: for we have sinned against thee. 21 Do
not abhor us, for thy name's sake, do not disgrace the throne of thy
glory: remember, break not thy covenant with us.

John 10:17-38
17 Therefore doth my Father love me, because I lay down my
life, that I might take it again. 18 No man taketh it from me, but I
lay it down of myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to
take it again. This commandment have I received of my Father. 19 There
was a division therefore again among the Jews for these sayings. 20 And
many of them said, He hath a devil, and is mad; why hear ye him? 21
Others said, These are not the words of him that hath a devil. Can a
devil open the eyes of the blind? 22 And it was at Jerusalem the feast
of the dedication, and it was winter. 23 And Jesus walked in the temple
in Solomon's porch. 24 Then came the Jews round about him, and said
unto him, How long dost thou make us to doubt? If thou be the Christ,
tell us plainly. 25 Jesus answered them, I told you, and ye believed
not: the works that I do in my Father's name, they bear witness of me.
26 But ye believe not, because ye are not of my sheep, as I said unto
you. 27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: 28
And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither
shall any man pluck them out of my hand. 29 My Father, which gave them
me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my
Father's hand. 30 I and my Father are one. 31 Then the Jews took up
stones again to stone him. 32 Jesus answered them, Many good works have
I shewed you from my Father; for which of those works do ye stone me?
33 The Jews answered him, saying, For a good work we stone thee not;
but for blasphemy; and because that thou, being a man, makest thyself
God. 34 Jesus answered them, Is it not written in your law, I said, Ye
are gods? 35 If he called them gods, unto whom the word of God came,
and the scripture cannot be broken; 36 Say ye of him, whom the Father
hath sanctified, and sent into the world, Thou blasphemest; because I
said, I am the Son of God? 37 If I do not the works of my Father,
believe me not. 38 But if I do, though ye believe not me, believe the
works: that ye may know, and believe, that the Father is in me, and I
in him.

Exodus 3:1-15
1 Now Moses kept the flock of Jethro his father in law, the
priest of Midian: and he led the flock to the backside of the desert,
and came to the mountain of God, even to Horeb. 2 And the angel of the
Lord appeared unto him in a flame of fire out of the midst of a bush:
and he looked, and, behold, the bush burned with fire, and the bush was
not consumed. 3 And Moses said, I will now turn aside, and see this
great sight, why the bush is not burnt. 4 And when the Lord saw that he
turned aside to see, God called unto him out of the midst of the bush,
and said, Moses, Moses. And he said, Here am I. 5 And he said, Draw not
nigh hither: put off thy shoes from off thy feet, for the place whereon
thou standest is holy ground. 6 Moreover he said, I am the God of thy
father, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob. And
Moses hid his face; for he was afraid to look upon God. 7 And the Lord
said, I have surely seen the affliction of my people which are in
Egypt, and have heard their cry by reason of their taskmasters; for I
know their sorrows; 8 And I am come down to deliver them out of the
hand of the Egyptians, and to bring them up out of that land unto a
good land and a large, unto a land flowing with milk and honey; unto
the place of the Canaanites, and the Hittites, and the Amorites, and
the Perizzites, and the Hivites, and the Jebusites. 9 Now therefore,
behold, the cry of the children of Israel is come unto me: and I have
also seen the oppression wherewith the Egyptians oppress them. 10 Come
now therefore, and I will send thee unto Pharaoh, that thou mayest
bring forth my people the children of Israel out of Egypt. 11 And Moses
said unto God, Who am I, that I should go unto Pharaoh, and that I
should bring forth the children of Israel out of Egypt? 12 And he said,
Certainly I will be with thee; and this shall be a token unto thee,
that I have sent thee: When thou hast brought forth the people out of
Egypt, ye shall serve God upon this mountain. 13 And Moses said unto
God, Behold, when I come unto the children of Israel, and shall say
unto them, The God of your fathers hath sent me unto you; and they
shall say to me, What is his name? what shall I say unto them? 14 And
God said unto Moses, I AM THAT I AM: and he said, Thus shalt thou say
unto the children of Israel, I AM hath sent me unto you. 15 And God
said moreover unto Moses, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of
Israel, The Lord God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of
Isaac, and the God of Jacob, hath sent me unto you: this is my name for
ever, and this is my memorial unto all generations.

12 Now if Christ be preached that he rose from the dead, how
say some among you that there is no resurrection of the dead? 13 But if
there be no resurrection of the dead, then is Christ not risen: 14 And
if Christ be not risen, then is our preaching vain, and your faith is
also vain. 15 Yea, and we are found false witnesses of God; because we
have testified of God that he raised up Christ: whom he raised not up,
if so be that the dead rise not. 16 For if the dead rise not, then is
not Christ raised: 17 And if Christ be not raised, your faith is vain;
ye are yet in your sins. 18 Then they also which are fallen asleep in
Christ are perished. 19 If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we
are of all men most miserable.

Jeremiah 20:7-13
7 O Lord, thou hast deceived me, and I was deceived: thou
art stronger than I, and hast prevailed: I am in derision daily, every

spoil; because the word of the Lord was made a reproach unto me, and a
derision, daily. 9 Then I said, I will not make mention of him, nor
speak any more in his name. But his word was in mine heart as a burning
fire shut up in my bones, and I was weary with forbearing, and I could
not stay. 10 For I heard the defaming of many, fear on every side.
Report, say they, and we will report it. All my familiars watched for
my halting, saying, Peradventure he will be enticed, and we shall
prevail against him, and we shall take our revenge on him. 11 But the
Lord is with me as a mighty terrible one: therefore my persecutors
shall stumble, and they shall not prevail: they shall be greatly
ashamed; for they shall not prosper: their everlasting confusion shall
never be forgotten. 12 But, O Lord of hosts, that triest the righteous,
and seest the reins and the heart, let me see thy vengeance on them:
for unto thee have I opened my cause. 13 Sing unto the Lord, praise ye
the Lord: for he hath delivered the soul of the poor from the hand of

John 12:1-11
1 Then Jesus six days before the passover came to Bethany,
where Lazarus was which had been dead, whom he raised from the dead. 2
There they made him a supper; and Martha served: but Lazarus was one of
them that sat at the table with him. 3 Then took Mary a pound of
ointment of spikenard, very costly, and anointed the feet of Jesus, and
wiped his feet with her hair: and the house was filled with the odour
of the ointment. 4 Then saith one of his disciples, Judas Iscariot,
Simon's son, which should betray him, 5 Why was not this ointment sold
for three hundred pence, and given to the poor? 6 This he said, not
that he cared for the poor; but because he was a thief, and had the
bag, and bare what was put therein. 7 Then said Jesus, Let her alone:
against the day of my burying hath she kept this. 8 For the poor always
ye have with you; but me ye have not always. 9 Much people of the Jews
therefore knew that he was there: and they came not for Jesus' sake
only, but that they might see Lazarus also, whom he had raised from the
dead. 10 But the chief priests consulted that they might put Lazarus
also to death; 11 Because that by reason of him many of the Jews went
away, and believed on Jesus.

10 And Moses said unto the Lord, O my Lord, I am not
eloquent, neither heretofore, nor since thou hast spoken unto thy
servant: but I am slow of speech, and of a slow tongue. 11 And the Lord
said unto him, Who hath made man's mouth? or who maketh the dumb, or
deaf, or the seeing, or the blind? have not I the Lord? 12 Now
therefore go, and I will be with thy mouth, and teach thee what thou

him whom thou wilt send. 14 And the anger of the Lord was kindled
against Moses, and he said, Is not Aaron the Levite thy brother? I know
that he can speak well. And also, behold, he cometh forth to meet thee:
and when he seeth thee, he will be glad in his heart. 15 And thou shalt
speak unto him, and put words in his mouth: and I will be with thy
mouth, and with his mouth, and will teach you what ye shall do. 16 And
he shall be thy spokesman unto the people: and he shall be, even he
shall be to thee instead of a mouth, and thou shalt be to him instead
of God. 17 And thou shalt take this rod in thine hand, wherewith thou
shalt do signs. 18 And Moses went and returned to Jethro his father in
law, and said unto him, Let me go, I pray thee, and return unto my
brethren which are in Egypt, and see whether they be yet alive. And
Jethro said to Moses, Go in peace.
27 And the Lord said to Aaron, Go into the wilderness to

him. 28 And Moses told Aaron all the words of the Lord who had sent
him, and all the signs which he had commanded him. 29 And Moses and
Aaron went and gathered together all the elders of the children of
Israel: 30 And Aaron spake all the words which the Lord had spoken unto
Moses, and did the signs in the sight of the people. 31 And the people
believed: and when they heard that the Lord had visited the children of
Israel, and that he had looked upon their affliction, then they bowed

1 Corinthians 15:20-34
20 But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the
firstfruits of them that slept. 21 For since by man came death, by man
came also the resurrection of the dead. 22 For as in Adam all die, even
so in Christ shall all be made alive. 23 But every man in his own
order: Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ's at his
coming. 24 Then cometh the end, when he shall have delivered up the
kingdom to God, even the Father; when he shall have put down all rule
and all authority and power. 25 For he must reign, till he hath put all
enemies under his feet. 26 The last enemy that shall be destroyed is
death. 27 For he hath put all things under his feet. But when he saith,
all things are put under him, it is manifest that he is excepted, which
did put all things under him. 28 And when all things shall be subdued
unto him, then shall the Son also himself be subject unto him that put
all things under him, that God may be all in all. 29 Else what shall
they do which are baptized for the dead, if the dead rise not at all?
why are they then baptized for the dead? 30 And why stand we in
jeopardy every hour? 31 I protest by your rejoicing which I have in
Christ Jesus our Lord, I die daily. 32 If after the manner of men I
have fought with beasts at Ephesus, what advantageth it me, if the dead
rise not? let us eat and drink; for to morrow we die. 33 Be not

10 Weep ye not for the dead, neither bemoan him: but weep
sore for him that goeth away: for he shall return no more, nor see his
native country. 11 For thus saith the Lord touching Shallum the son of
Josiah king of Judah, which reigned instead of Josiah his father, which
went forth out of this place; He shall not return thither any more: 12
But he shall die in the place whither they have led him captive, and
shall see this land no more. 13 Woe unto him that buildeth his house by
unrighteousness, and his chambers by wrong; that useth his neighbour's
service without wages, and giveth him not for his work; 14 That saith,
I will build me a wide house and large chambers, and cutteth him out
windows; and it is ceiled with cedar, and painted with vermilion. 15
Shalt thou reign, because thou closest thyself in cedar? did not thy
father eat and drink, and do judgment and justice, and then it was well
with him? 16 He judged the cause of the poor and needy; then it was
well with him: was not this to know me? saith the Lord. 17 But thine
eyes and thine heart are not but for thy covetousness, and for to shed
innocent blood, and for oppression, and for violence, to do it. 18
Therefore thus saith the Lord concerning Jehoiakim the son of Josiah
king of Judah; They shall not lament for him, saying, Ah my brother!
or, Ah sister! they shall not lament for him, saying, Ah lord! or, Ah
his glory! 19 He shall be buried with the burial of an ass, drawn and
cast forth beyond the gates of Jerusalem. 20 Go up to Lebanon, and cry;
and lift up thy voice in Bashan, and cry from the passages: for all thy
lovers are destroyed. 21 I spake unto thee in thy prosperity; but thou
saidst, I will not hear. This hath been thy manner from thy youth, that
thou obeyedst not my voice. 22 The wind shall eat up all thy pastors,
and thy lovers shall go into captivity: surely then shalt thou be
ashamed and confounded for all thy wickedness. 23 O inhabitant of
Lebanon, that makest thy nest in the cedars, how gracious shalt thou be
when pangs come upon thee, the pain as of a woman in travail!

1 And afterward Moses and Aaron went in, and told Pharaoh,
Thus saith the Lord God of Israel, Let my people go, that they may hold
a feast unto me in the wilderness. 2 And Pharaoh said, Who is the Lord,
that I should obey his voice to let Israel go? I know not the Lord,
neither will I let Israel go. 3 And they said, The God of the Hebrews
hath met with us: let us go, we pray thee, three days' journey into the
desert, and sacrifice unto the Lord our God; lest he fall upon us with
pestilence, or with the sword. 4 And the king of Egypt said unto them,
Wherefore do ye, Moses and Aaron, let the people from their works? get
you unto your burdens. 5 And Pharaoh said, Behold, the people of the
land now are many, and ye make them rest from their burdens. 6 And
Pharaoh commanded the same day the taskmasters of the people, and their
officers, saying, 7 Ye shall no more give the people straw to make
brick, as heretofore: let them go and gather straw for themselves. 8
And the tale of the bricks, which they did make heretofore, ye shall
lay upon them; ye shall not diminish aught thereof: for they be idle;
therefore they cry, saying, Let us go and sacrifice to our God. 9 Let
there more work be laid upon the men, that they may labour therein; and
let them not regard vain words.
19 And the officers of the children of Israel did see that
they were in evil case, after it was said, Ye shall not minish aught
from your bricks of your daily task. 20 And they met Moses and Aaron,
who stood in the way, as they came forth from Pharaoh: 21 And they said
unto them, The Lord look upon you, and judge; because ye have made our
savour to be abhorred in the eyes of Pharaoh, and in the eyes of his
servants, to put a sword in their hand to slay us. 22 And Moses
returned unto the Lord, and said, Lord, wherefore hast thou so evil
entreated this people? why is it that thou hast sent me? 23 For since I
came to Pharaoh to speak in thy name, he hath done evil to this people;
neither hast thou delivered thy people at all.
1 Then the Lord said unto Moses, Now shalt thou see what I
will do to Pharaoh: for with a strong hand shall he let them go, and
with a strong hand shall he drive them out of his land.

1 Corinthians 15:35-49
35 But some man will say, How are the dead raised up? and
with what body do they come? 36 Thou fool, that which thou sowest is
not quickened, except it die: 37 And that which thou sowest, thou
sowest not that body that shall be, but bare grain, it may chance of
wheat, or of some other grain: 38 But God giveth it a body as it hath
pleased him, and to every seed his own body. 39 All flesh is not the
same flesh: but there is one kind of flesh of men, another flesh of
beasts, another of fishes, and another of birds. 40 There are also
celestial bodies, and bodies terrestrial: but the glory of the
celestial is one, and the glory of the terrestrial is another. 41 There
is one glory of the sun, and another glory of the moon, and another
glory of the stars: for one star differeth from another star in glory.
42 So also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown in corruption;
it is raised in incorruption: 43 It is sown in dishonour; it is raised
in glory: it is sown in weakness; it is raised in power: 44 It is sown
a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body,
and there is a spiritual body. 45 And so it is written, The first man
Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening
spirit. 46 Howbeit that was not first which is spiritual, but that
which is natural; and afterward that which is spiritual. 47 The first
man is of the earth, earthy: the second man is the Lord from heaven. 48
As is the earthy, such are they also that are earthy: and as is the
heavenly, such are they also that are heavenly. 49 And as we have borne
the image of the earthy, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly.

Jeremiah 28:1-2, 10-17
1 And it came to pass the same year, in the beginning of the
reign of Zedekiah king of Judah, in the fourth year, and in the fifth
month, that Hananiah the son of Azur the prophet, which was of Gibeon,
spake unto me in the house of the Lord, in the presence of the priests
and of all the people, saying, 2 Thus speaketh the Lord of hosts, the
God of Israel, saying, I have broken the yoke of the king of Babylon.
10 Then Hananiah the prophet took the yoke from off the
prophet Jeremiah's neck, and brake it. 11 And Hananiah spake in the
presence of all the people, saying, Thus saith the Lord; Even so will I
break the yoke of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon from the neck of all
nations within the space of two full years. And the prophet Jeremiah
went his way. 12 Then the word of the Lord came unto Jeremiah the
prophet, after that Hananiah the prophet had broken the yoke from off
the neck of the prophet Jeremiah, saying, 13 Go and tell Hananiah,
saying, Thus saith the Lord; Thou hast broken the yokes of wood; but
thou shalt make for them yokes of iron. 14 For thus saith the Lord of
hosts, the God of Israel; I have put a yoke of iron upon the neck of
all these nations, that they may serve Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon;
and they shall serve him: and I have given him the beasts of the field
also. 15 Then said the prophet Jeremiah unto Hananiah the prophet, Hear
now, Hananiah; The Lord hath not sent thee; but thou makest this people
to trust in a lie. 16 Therefore thus saith the Lord; Behold, I will
cast thee from off the face of the earth: this year thou shalt die,
because thou hast taught rebellion against the Lord. 17 So Hananiah the
prophet died the same year in the seventh month.

John 12:20-33
20 And there were certain Greeks among them that came up to
worship at the feast: 21 The same came therefore to Philip, which was
of Bethsaida of Galilee, and desired him, saying, Sir, we would see
Jesus. 22 Philip cometh and telleth Andrew: and again Andrew and Philip
tell Jesus. 23 And Jesus answered them, saying, The hour is come, that
the Son of man should be glorified. 24 Verily, verily, I say unto you,
Except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abideth alone:
but if it die, it bringeth forth much fruit. 25 He that loveth his life
shall lose it; and he that hateth his life in this world shall keep it
unto life eternal. 26 If any man serve me, let him follow me; and where
I am, there shall also my servant be: if any man serve me, him will my
Father honour. 27 Now is my soul troubled; and what shall I say?
Father, save me from this hour: but for this cause came I unto this
hour. 28 Father, glorify thy name. Then came there a voice from heaven,
saying, I have both glorified it, and will glorify it again. 29 The
people therefore, that stood by, and heard it, said that it thundered:
others said, An angel spake to him. 30 Jesus answered and said, This
voice came not because of me, but for your sakes. 31 Now is the
judgment of this world: now shall the prince of this world be cast out.
32 And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me.
33 This he said, signifying what death he should die.

Exodus 11:1-8
1 And the Lord said unto Moses, Yet will I bring one plague
more upon Pharaoh, and upon Egypt; afterwards he will let you go hence:
when he shall let you go, he shall surely thrust you out hence
altogether. 2 Speak now in the ears of the people, and let every man
borrow of his neighbour, and every woman of her neighbour, jewels of
silver, and jewels of gold. 3 And the Lord gave the people favour in
the sight of the Egyptians. Moreover the man Moses was very great in
the land of Egypt, in the sight of Pharaoh's servants, and in the sight
of the people. 4 And Moses said, Thus saith the Lord, About midnight
will I go out into the midst of Egypt: 5 And all the firstborn in the
land of Egypt shall die, from the firstborn of Pharaoh that sitteth
upon his throne, even unto the firstborn of the maidservant that is
behind the mill; and all the firstborn of beasts. 6 And there shall be
a great cry throughout all the land of Egypt, such as there was none
like it, nor shall be like it any more. 7 But against any of the
children of Israel shall not a dog move his tongue, against man or
beast: that ye may know how that the Lord doth put a difference between
the Egyptians and Israel. 8 And all these thy servants shall come down
unto me, and bow down themselves unto me, saying, Get thee out, and all
the people that follow thee: and after that I will go out. And he went
out from Pharaoh in a great anger.

1 Corinthians 15:50
50 Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot
inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit
incorruption. 51 Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep,
but we shall all be changed, 52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an
eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall
be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. 53 For this
corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on
immortality. 54 So when this corruptible shall have put on
incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall
be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in
victory. 55 O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?
56 The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law. 57
But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord
Jesus Christ. 58 Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast,
unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye
know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.

Jeremiah 30:12-17, 23-24
12 For thus saith the Lord, Thy bruise is incurable, and thy
wound is grievous. 13 There is none to plead thy cause, that thou
mayest be bound up: thou hast no healing medicines. 14 All thy lovers
have forgotten thee; they seek thee not; for I have wounded thee with
the wound of an enemy, with the chastisement of a cruel one, for the
multitude of thine iniquity; because thy sins were increased. 15 Why
criest thou for thine affliction? thy sorrow is incurable for the
multitude of thine iniquity: because thy sins were increased, I have
done these things unto thee. 16 Therefore all they that devour thee
shall be devoured; and all thine adversaries, every one of them, shall
go into captivity; and they that spoil thee shall be a spoil, and all
that prey upon thee will I give for a prey. 17 For I will restore
health unto thee, and I will heal thee of thy wounds, saith the Lord;
because they called thee an Outcast, saying, This is Zion, whom no man
seeketh after.
23 Behold, the whirlwind of the Lord goeth forth with fury,
a continuing whirlwind: it shall fall with pain upon the head of the
wicked. 24 The fierce anger of the Lord shall not return, until he have
done it, and until he have performed the intents of his heart: in the
latter days ye shall consider it.

John 12:34-43
34 The people answered him, We have heard out of the law
that Christ abideth for ever: and how sayest thou, The Son of man must
be lifted up? who is this Son of man? 35 Then Jesus said unto them, Yet
a little while is the light with you. Walk while ye have the light,
lest darkness come upon you: for he that walketh in darkness knoweth
not whither he goeth. 36 While ye have light, believe in the light,
that ye may be the children of light. These things spake Jesus, and
departed, and did hide himself from them. 37 But though he had done so
many miracles before them, yet they believed not on him: 38 That the
saying of Esaias the prophet might be fulfilled, which he spake, Lord,
who hath believed our report? and to whom hath the arm of the Lord been
revealed? 39 Therefore they could not believe, because that Esaias said
again, 40 He hath blinded their eyes, and hardened their heart; that
they should not see with their eyes, nor understand with their heart,
and be converted, and I should heal them. 41 These things said Esaias,
when he saw his glory, and spake of him. 42 Nevertheless among the
chief rulers also many believed on him; but because of the Pharisees
they did not confess him, lest they should be put out of the synagogue:
43 For they loved the praise of men more than the praise of God.

in the blood that is in the basin, and strike the lintel and the two
side posts with the blood that is in the basin; and none of you shall
go out at the door of his house until the morning. 23 For the Lord will
pass through to smite the Egyptians; and when he seeth the blood upon
the lintel, and on the two side posts, the Lord will pass over the
door, and will not suffer the destroyer to come in unto your houses to
smite you. 24 And ye shall observe this thing for an ordinance to thee
and to thy sons for ever. 25 And it shall come to pass, when ye be come
to the land which the Lord will give you, according as he hath
promised, that ye shall keep this service. 26 And it shall come to
pass, when your children shall say unto you, What mean ye by this
service? 27 That ye shall say, It is the sacrifice of the Lord's
passover, who passed over the houses of the children of Israel in
Egypt, when he smote the Egyptians, and delivered our houses. And the
people bowed the head and worshipped. 28 And the children of Israel
went away, and did as the Lord had commanded Moses and Aaron, so did

prospered him, that there be no gatherings when I come. 3 And when I
come, whomsoever ye shall approve by your letters, them will I send to
bring your liberality unto Jerusalem. 4 And if it be meet that I go
also, they shall go with me. 5 Now I will come unto you, when I shall
pass through Macedonia: for I do pass through Macedonia. 6 And it may
be that I will abide, yea, and winter with you, that ye may bring me on
my journey whithersoever I go. 7 For I will not see you now by the way;
but I trust to tarry a while with you, if the Lord permit. 8 But I will
tarry at Ephesus until Pentecost. 9 For a great door and effectual is
opened unto me, and there are many adversaries. 10 Now if Timotheus
come, see that he may be with you without fear: for he worketh the work
of the Lord, as I also do. 11 Let no man therefore despise him: but
conduct him forth in peace, that he may come unto me: for I look for
him with the brethren. 12 As touching our brother Apollos, I greatly
desired him to come unto you with the brethren: but his will was not at
all to come at this time; but he will come when he shall have
convenient time. 13 Watch ye, stand fast in the faith, quit you like
men, be strong. 14 Let all your things be done with charity.

And I will make an everlasting covenant with them, that I will not turn

Exodus 12:29-39, 42
29 And it came to pass, that at midnight the Lord smote all
the firstborn in the land of Egypt, from the firstborn of Pharaoh that
sat on his throne unto the firstborn of the captive that was in the
dungeon; and all the firstborn of cattle. 30 And Pharaoh rose up in the
night, he, and all his servants, and all the Egyptians; and there was a
great cry in Egypt; for there was not a house where there was not one
dead. 31 And he called for Moses and Aaron by night, and said, Rise up,
and get you forth from among my people, both ye and the children of
Israel; and go, serve the Lord, as ye have said. 32 Also take your
flocks and your herds, as ye have said, and be gone; and bless me also.
33 And the Egyptians were urgent upon the people, that they might send
them out of the land in haste; for they said, We be all dead men. 34
And the people took their dough before it was leavened, their
kneadingtroughs being bound up in their clothes upon their shoulders.
35 And the children of Israel did according to the word of Moses; and
they borrowed of the Egyptians jewels of silver, and jewels of gold,
and raiment: 36 And the Lord gave the people favour in the sight of the
Egyptians, so that they lent unto them such things as they required.
And they spoiled the Egyptians. 37 And the children of Israel journeyed
from Rameses to Succoth, about six hundred thousand on foot that were
men, beside children. 38 And a mixed multitude went up also with them;
and flocks, and herds, even very much cattle. 39 And they baked
unleavened cakes of the dough which they brought forth out of Egypt,
for it was not leavened; because they were thrust out of Egypt, and
could not tarry, neither had they prepared for themselves any victual.
42 It is a night to be much observed unto the Lord for
bringing them out from the land of Egypt: this is that night of the
Lord to be observed of all the children of Israel in their generations.
43 And the Lord said unto Moses and Aaron, This is the ordinance of the
passover: There shall no stranger eat thereof: 44 But every man's
servant that is bought for money, when thou hast circumcised him, then
shall he eat thereof. 45 A foreigner and an hired servant shall not eat
thereof. 46 In one house shall it be eaten; thou shalt not carry forth
aught of the flesh abroad out of the house; neither shall ye break a
bone thereof. 47 All the congregation of Israel shall keep it. 48 And
when a stranger shall sojourn with thee, and will keep the passover to
the Lord, let all his males be circumcised, and then let him come near
and keep it; and he shall be as one that is born in the land: for no
uncircumcised person shall eat thereof. 49 One law shall be to him that
is homeborn, and unto the stranger that sojourneth among you. 50 Thus
did all the children of Israel; as the Lord commanded Moses and Aaron,
so did they. 51 And it came to pass the selfsame day, that the Lord did
bring the children of Israel out of the land of Egypt by their armies.

Jeremiah 33:1-9, 14-16
1 Moreover the word of the Lord came unto Jeremiah the
second time, while he was yet shut up in the court of the prison,
saying, 2 Thus saith the Lord the maker thereof, the Lord that formed
it, to establish it; the Lord is his name; 3 Call unto me, and I will
answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest
not. 4 For thus saith the Lord, the God of Israel, concerning the
houses of this city, and concerning the houses of the kings of Judah,
which are thrown down by the mounts, and by the sword; 5 They come to
fight with the Chaldeans, but it is to fill them with the dead bodies
of men, whom I have slain in mine anger and in my fury, and for all
whose wickedness I have hid my face from this city. 6 Behold, I will
bring it health and cure, and I will cure them, and will reveal unto
them the abundance of peace and truth. 7 And I will cause the captivity
of Judah and the captivity of Israel to return, and will build them, as
at the first. 8 And I will cleanse them from all their iniquity,
whereby they have sinned against me; and I will pardon all their
iniquities, whereby they have sinned, and whereby they have
transgressed against me. 9 And it shall be to me a name of joy, a
praise and an honour before all the nations of the earth, which shall
hear all the good that I do unto them: and they shall fear and tremble
for all the goodness and for all the prosperity that I procure unto it.
14 Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, that I will
perform that good thing which I have promised unto the house of Israel
and to the house of Judah. 15 In those days, and at that time, will I
cause the Branch of righteousness to grow up unto David; and he shall
execute judgment and righteousness in the land. 16 In those days shall
Judah be saved, and Jerusalem shall dwell safely: and this is the name
wherewith she shall be called, The Lord our righteousness.

John 13:1-17
1 Now before the feast of the passover, when Jesus knew that
his hour was come that he should depart out of this world unto the
Father, having loved his own which were in the world, he loved them
unto the end. 2 And supper being ended, the devil having now put into
the heart of Judas Iscariot, Simon's son, to betray him; 3 Jesus
knowing that the Father had given all things into his hands, and that
he was come from God, and went to God; 4 He riseth from supper, and
laid aside his garments; and took a towel, and girded himself. 5 After
that he poureth water into a bason, and began to wash the disciples'
feet, and to wipe them with the towel wherewith he was girded. 6 Then
cometh he to Simon Peter: and Peter saith unto him, Lord, dost thou
wash my feet? 7 Jesus answered and said unto him, What I do thou
knowest not now; but thou shalt know hereafter. 8 Peter saith unto him,
Thou shalt never wash my feet. Jesus answered him, If I wash thee not,
thou hast no part with me. 9 Simon Peter saith unto him, Lord, not my
feet only, but also my hands and my head. 10 Jesus saith to him, He
that is washed needeth not save to wash his feet, but is clean every
whit: and ye are clean, but not all. 11 For he knew who should betray
him; therefore said he, Ye are not all clean. 12 So after he had washed
their feet, and had taken his garments, and was set down again, he said
unto them, Know ye what I have done to you? 13 Ye call me Master and
Lord: and ye say well; for so I am. 14 If I then, your Lord and Master,
have washed your feet; ye also ought to wash one another's feet. 15 For
I have given you an example, that ye should do as I have done to you.
16 Verily, verily, I say unto you, The servant is not greater than his
lord; neither he that is sent greater than he that sent him. 17 If ye
know these things, happy are ye if ye do them.
